Hi There

Shades of Grey #ootd

Shades of Grey #ootd

The winter chill is upon us, and all I want is to stay warm and fluffy all day long! Lately I’ve been living in my Riveria Edge to Edge longer length grey cardi from Old Khaki. It’s the softest, most snuggle worthy item of clothing I own and it goes with pretty much everything. Speaking of snuggle worthy, I’m also mildly obsessed with these cable knit fingerless gloves and my pom pom beanie (and I’ve still got my eye on this one). Outfit Details Grey, longer length cardi – Old Khaki (get it online here) Striped tee – Cotton On Fingerless gloves – Old Khaki (get them online here) Pom Pom beanie – Cotton On. Similar style here from Old Khaki Necklace – Lucky Brand Jeans – Luck Brand Leather Riding Boots – Tsonga Mug (my favourite) from Anthropologie

Double Pop Winter – Outfit Post

Double Pop Winter – Outfit Post

Slowly but surely winter is creeping up on us! And yesterday, I could feel it in Durbs – Even if it was only for a brief period. Although a short burst of cold, it surely got me thinking about outfits for winter. This year, instead of blending into the blandness of black, brown and grey, I’m going to inject pops of colour, which certainly brightens my mood! Since I do love wearing black, I’ll be adding colour pops with my accessories; like bags, scarves and snoods. This look is so very me. It’s casual, laid back, a little bid edgy and a little playful too. What do you guys think? Outfit Details: Coral Snood – GAP, Leather Jacket: Old Khaki (hubby bought it for my birthday last year and I love it so much, I want the tan and brown one too!),  Top – Sassy Chic, Pants – Woolworths (from last year’s winter collection), Suede Sling Bag – GAP, Leather Boots – Tsonga, Sunglasses – Giorgio Armani. TREND REPORT: Riding Style

TREND REPORT: Riding Style

Next month, my hometown of Durban plays host to The Vodacom Durban July; one of Durban’s and SA Fashion’s hottest events! With all the hype leading to raceday, combined with a new found love for my riding boots (which I finally found after years of searching), this month’s Trend Report is all about being a stylish Equestrian. Now, as much as I love this style of dressing, I wouldn’t recommend wearing a riding-style outfit to The July – even though it would make more sense to trot around the grass laden race track in comfy flats and a jacket, instead of your sheer, backless couture designer gown and sky high heels – in winter! As for any other day, I definitely think this look rocks, even if you have no actual connection on the Mink and Manure belt. Here’s how to wear the trend… Riding Style Boots A true riding-style outfit requires a pair of fabulous flat riding boots! Riding boots are an investment and will almost always look stylish and on-trend, so it’s worth it to spend a little extra for a great quality pair that will last you a lifetime! Daniella Michelle brown boots with buckle detail – R1599 from Zoom Footwear Leather “Shobola”…

Insta-Scoop: My Week in Instagrams

Insta-Scoop: My Week in Instagrams

Good morning fashionistars! Hope you all had a great weekend and that the start to your new week is a good one! As always, here’s a quick wrap of my week in Instagrams for you to enjoy… I discovered an awesome li’l shop at La Lucia Mall called Lovisa. It’s a full on accessories shop, kind of like Diva, with the most amazing rings on the planet!  I snapped up some pics of the ring-bling, my favourite being the tribal inspired black, gold and white ring on the left! On Tuesday I was invited to the Luxottica Buyers Day, a chance for me to check out the amazing new sunglasses collections that will be in store for us soon!  If you didn’t already know, I am obsessed with sunglasses!!! I guess you could say that appreciate the little things in life… shoes, handbags and sunglasses! In the top left pic I’ve snapped up three of my favourite Dolce & Gabbana sunglass styles – on top right you’ll see the one pair a little bit better. This pair has been created to resemble an iconic Dolce & Gabbana Bustier. Then lets talk a bit about the sunglasses I’m wearing… PRADA baby! I wasn’t sure about these…
