I have a new obsession with trenches lately! They are such easy pieces that you can just throw on to instantly upgrade your look and make it more polished. Right now I’m loving this Lightweight, Green Epaulette Coat from SheIn – my new fave online shopping destination. As we say goodbye (and good riddance) to winter and hello to Spring, this trench will probably become my new BFF! I can picture a cute summer look with a little white tee, denim cut offs and gladiator sandals or even Converse… Hmmm! Yesterday, in Jozi we got to experience a little taste of warmer weather, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear this coat to an exciting fragrance launch (more on that soon). My look started with a hat, but quickly changed thanks to the wind deciding it was a no go (hence all the face touching in my pics). I am glad though, that I got at least one shot with the hat, because I love how it makes this look more wintery. I also really love the flap detail at the back of the coat, and the subtle hint of epaulettes on the shoulder which give it that military feel. Oh, it’s also got built in shoulder pads, which are perfecto…

How did you all enjoy the long weekend? I’m looking forward to another one – it feels like Christmas haha! I hadn’t been to Lusito Land in years, so this weekend, we decided to give it a go! What a great day, full of fun with the fam-dam! I was really looking forward to enjoying some Portuguese Farturas, but the line was insanely long! I feel I need to go back and get me some! The last time I went to Lusito Land, I remember I froze my butt off, so thought my new Winter Cape/ Poncho would be the perfect thing to take along! It’s so warm and with all those colours, it looks great with pretty much anything! Hope you enjoy my weekend snaps and OOTD post… Hubby’s Wearing: Balmain T-Shirt, Tommy Hilfiger Jeans, Prada Sunglasses & Converse I’m wearing: Asymmetrical Cape from Sheinside (on sale now), Lucky Brand Sofia Skinny Jeans, Tsonga Riding Boots, Old Khaki Hoodie (here) and my fabulous new Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Love Crossbody bag. Towards the end of the season, I always feel uninspired to go shopping for new clothes! I guess you could say, that I’m over winter and all I can think about is summer. So I really don’t want to spend money on more bulky winter clothes. Even though, I still need to dress warm. So what do you do?! Layer! I found the most amazing tops for layering at Old Khaki the other day. They are lightweight and perfect for layering, but would also make great pieces on their own to wear in the Spring. I especially LOVE the cream cut out 3/4 top! I can see it being worked into many outfit options. Picture it layered over a crisp, white shirt with an amazing collar! YES Cream Daisy Cut & Sew 3/4 Sleeve Top (R350) from Old Khaki. Navy and Milk Striped Top (R299) from Old Khaki. Jeans, GAP 1969 Thunderstruck always straight jeans, snood (old) from Old Khaki, Sneakers – Converse, Bag – Knomo

One thing about Jozi winters, it may be cold outside, but the days are filled with glorious sunshine! Just when I thought I had found my “it pair” of GAP jeans, I find these! I love the subtle destructed wash, and I do prefer a skinny leg – makes cuffing them look a little neater.   How cool is this tee? (also GAP). Since I am obsessed with Camo and Stripes this tee was like a match made in heaven. I didn’t love it when I saw it on the mannequin, but when I tried it on, that was it – I was sold! To keep the look “weekender”, I went with my reliable Converse High Tops and my new, awesome Knomo Great Portland bag. Then, I just added this everything goes blue collar necklace (from TopShop) and my Ray-Ban Cats 5000! These sunnies are super cool! Love the retro look so much! So, how did you guys spend your weekend? [signature]

Slowly but surely winter is creeping up on us! And yesterday, I could feel it in Durbs – Even if it was only for a brief period. Although a short burst of cold, it surely got me thinking about outfits for winter. This year, instead of blending into the blandness of black, brown and grey, I’m going to inject pops of colour, which certainly brightens my mood! Since I do love wearing black, I’ll be adding colour pops with my accessories; like bags, scarves and snoods. This look is so very me. It’s casual, laid back, a little bid edgy and a little playful too. What do you guys think? Outfit Details: Coral Snood – GAP, Leather Jacket: Old Khaki (hubby bought it for my birthday last year and I love it so much, I want the tan and brown one too!),  Top – Sassy Chic, Pants – Woolworths (from last year’s winter collection), Suede Sling Bag – GAP, Leather Boots – Tsonga, Sunglasses – Giorgio Armani.
