Although many people may back away scared from this trend, I do think that there are a pair of high-waisted pants (or a skirt) out there for just about every body type.Inevitably we see this style on the tall and skinny, but wear the right garment in the right way, and you are onto a winning look.
High-waisted styles make the legs look longer, the waist look smaller, and hold in and flatten the tummy. They are especially good on pear shapes and the classic hour-glass, as well as those with shorter legs and longer torsos. There are a plethora of cropped and paper-bag styles coming our way for summer, but I think the best look is the wide leg high-waisted trouser, or the high-waisted pencil skirt. These styles won’t date, are easy to dress up and down and are sure to be part of your staple items.
Add heels to lengthen the legs further, and a skinny belt, and you’re good to go!
