Roland Mouret is bringing some French flair to London.
Inspired by the elegant maison showrooms of Yves Saint Laurent and Dior, the designer has opened his first flagship store in Mayfair London. The six-floor town house on Carlos Place near the Connaught Hotel and the fashionable Bond Street is a mixture of Parisian grandeur and 70s décor.
While Mouret’s atelier and showrooms are situated on the upper floors, the downstairs area is all about his impressive designs. The “Best of” collection features the designer’s three signature dresses, the Galaxy (newly available six years after it become iconic), the Moon and the Pigalle; all of which have been reworked for the flagship store with dazzling accessories.
The men’s area features an impressive marble fireplace and Mad Men-esque suits.
While dresses are his forte, the womenswear area is not only filled with those figure-hugging design but also a full range including sportswear and Italian-made sunglasses. A leather good section is expected to open later this year along with several other categories Mouret would like to feature.
Roland Mouret is now open and can be found at 8 Carlos Place, Mayfair, London.
