LiliKoi – Our local hybrid footwear brand

So, it’s no secret that I love shoes… which is why I am very excited that we now have a ‘local hybrid’ high fashion South African footwear brand. Okay, wait a minute Thithi… WTF is ‘local hybrid’? Well folks I just made it up, or maybe I didn’t to describe brands or labels that are conceptualized, marketed and branded in South Africa, but are produced outside of our shores.

LiliKoi is one of those…Created by Aimee Sarkin-Rosa, the shoes are manufactured in top-quality leather factories around Brazil & Europe and are all about functional footwear of the highest quality. Inspired by the type of woman you see in SABC 3’s Cashmere Mafia the range includes a wide range of styles including heels, boots, sandals and pumps – like the animal print ones below, which I have strangely fallen in love with. I say strangely because I don’t do animal print, in fact I don’t think I own anything animal print, but I can see myself doing something sick with these pumps.

And now Vincenza for Lilikoi is here and sure to turn some heads! This uber-creative over-the-top footwear label is for a determined, self confident women who knows what she wants. The Brazilian-made collection, is characterised by its originality, care of details and a variety of colours.
