Louboutin’s Museum Exhibition

All the shoe-lovers out there, make a note in your calendars. The life and work of shoe designer Christian Louboutin will be the subject of an exhibition at the Design Museum in London. The retrospective which is to start next year in March will cover the 20 year shoe god’s career, his influences and show off some of his most iconic shoes.

While the majority of us are saving our plane fare, we’ve managed to round up some great Louboutin shoes and shoe moments in the meantime:

Although we all know Louboutins as the sexy heels with the red soles but for some time some of the heels featured a blue sole.

While we think the girls of Sex & The City particularly Sarah Jessica Parker may be the ultimate fans, Christian himself prefers author Danielle Steele who according to Vogue may own in excessive of 6,000 pairs.

Not content with just designing shoes for fashionistas; Louboutin has even created not one but two limited edition Barbie dolls with her own collection of red-soled heels. If you’re like me and find food just as fabulous as fashion, you’ll be please to know so does Mr Louboutin.

Not only has he designed a shoe champagne flute for luxury brand Piper Heidsieck but he also waved his magic wand for patisserie Laduree. Three limited edition boxes were created for the legendary French bakery.

Another famous fan is Blake Lively. The Gossip Girl actress may not own a lot of pairs but she does have a pair named after her. The mutli-coloured strap stiletto went on sale in March of this year.
