Remember those gorgeous mint heels I posted about here? Well, I got an email from Aldo HQ yesterday to say that these babies will be available in South Africa too! Whoop!
They are part of the Aldo Rise collection, Aldo’s fashion week collaborations programme that aims to support, promote and celebrate talent in the fashion industry. This programme allows designers to collaborate with Aldo, turning their visions into reality.
Some of the RISE styles will be introduced into select ALDO stores, including Sandton, V&A Waterfront and Menlyn, in June 2012. These stores will feature up to ten exclusive ALDO RISE styles from the various RISE designers.
Designers include Preen; a London-based Duo, JW Anderson, Libertine designer Johnson Hartig and my personal fave, Mark Fast, creator of the minty perfect Aldo heels.

The Mark Fast x ALDO RISE collection showcases the intricately handcrafted elements of Fast’s ready-to-wear line. “I took inspiration from a bit of tribal and metallic glam,” says Fast. The heeled style features his iconic cut- out details and comes in 4 bold colors.
