After posting a sneak peek of the new Chanel 2014 eye collection, I received a few products from this collection to try out…
One of my stand-out palettes from this collection was Tisse Vendome! Simply because all the colours looked amazing on the press visuals, I really love the peachy colour in the palette and I don’t have anything like this in my collection!
When I got to see the actual product, I loved it even more. The colours come out beautifully when swatched on the skin and I really do love that peachy shade!
See what I mean? Pretty right?!
The second palette I got to sample was Tisse Venitien. I am really glad I got this palette too because it is absolutely gorgeous!
Being a green/hazel-eyed gal, I usually steer away from green eyeshadow. I feel that it doesn’t do anything exciting for my eyes, unless the palette itself is really exciting, and the shades of green are really different!
Well, this palette is very exciting indeed. The green is almost bluey green so it really makes the eyes pop. And that silver (third shade on my swatches) if friggin’ amazing! It’s like a burst of metallic silver sparkle, but not in a cheap and nasty kind of way!
The fact that you can go from subtle to intense with these palettes makes me love them even more. The colour is completely buildable, and when used with a wet brush, the colours are more intensified!

The other stand out product from this collection, is the launch of a waterproof version of Chanel’s, already amazing
Le Volume De Chanel mascara!
Le Volume De Chanel is one of my favourite mascaras, and I find that I’ve been using it the most, because, I absolutely love the thicker, fuller lash effect. So, when I got to sample the NEW waterproof version, you can just imagine my excitement.
I got to sample the colour “Brun” (20), which is brown, however since comparing it to Le Volume De Chanel in Black wouldn’t have been fair, I compared it another Le Volume I have – Khaki/ Bronze (40) from the 2013 Superstition Fall Collection.
Intensity wise, the waterproof version is just as amazing as the original Le Volume. I applied about three coats and found that was enough to give my lashes mega volume! It also holds up really nicely as a waterproof mascara, but with serious rubbing and makeup remover, it comes off nicely.
The last product I got to sample was the brand new Stylo Yeux Waterproof! A long lasting, really amazing eyeliner.
Now, if you remember the 2013 Chanel Spring Makeup collection, Chanel introduced Stylo eyeshadow sticks, which are amazing and perfect eyeshadows for your travel bag.
With this new 2014 eye collection, they’ve taken the same awesomeness of Stylo Eyeshadow and created a beautiful eyeliner that’s waterproof as well.
The colour I got to sample was Bleu Metallique – which is a really beautiful metallic blue shade. It has fabulous intensity and the colour comes out bright and vibrant, almost on the first application. I love using this for my waterline, and it looks even more beautiful when used with Tisse Venitien.
Such a beautiful collection! It will be launching in South Africa next month (on the 17th March), so be sure to keep an eye out!
