When it comes to show stopping shows, Karl Lagerfeld is in a league of his own!
A fashion show to Uncle Karl is more than just an opportunity to display his jaw dropping creations. At a Karl Lagerfeld, CHANEL show, you can expect a show like no other. Custom made runways take you from the boring “fashion show” to a fashion experience, where the clothes are in their perfect element.
Take a look at the set for his latest, Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2014/ 2015 collection. Earlier this month, on the 4th March The Grand Palais in Paris was transformed into the CHANEL Shopping Centre.
Talk about haute couture grocery shopping!
If only all grocery shopping could be like this… sigh!
Models strode the “runways” carrying baskets that were interlaced with leather and chains or quilted trolleys, wearing sneakers and the latest offering from CHANEL.
Karl Lagerfeld twisted the codes of daily life, mixing up the colours of fruit, veggies and spices. Beetroot pink, carrot orange, salad green, egg shell, mustard and saffron yellow – with Chanel’s black, pink and navy blue.
Multi-Coloured geo prints also played a part in these flowing colours.
CHANEL announced a season that’s bursting with energy!
The signature CHANEL tweed was prominent again alongside knits, plastic coated materials, lace, pleated silk, organza and chiffon.
No detail was left out: the set included what looked like real groceries in isles, as well as authentic “grocery shopping” signage . Hello! There was even a check-out counter.
