Winter Wish List

It’s nearly time for winter, and I am so excited… I’m picturing multiple cups of hot chocolate, snuggling up with fluffy socks and series marathons and especially the chance to wear boots, coats and capes!

These Minnetonka fringed lace up boots have been on my wish list for the longest time, and I finally have them – YAY! They are the most comfortable boots you can possibly imagine! Soft and supple, just like slippers! I’m so hooked on this brand, and want every style in every colour!

That cape looks amazing! Is it from a local store?

Hi Dezzi. It’s from Sheinside. Unfortunately it’s not local, but they ship international (free if you choose standard shipping). I actually bought myself one recently, so will keep you posted on the whole shopping experience. To buy it online, click on the link next to no1 and it will take you to that page. X

R341 for the cape!!!! I’m online right now and think I’m going to buy it!!! How much did you pay for customs, etc?

Hey Cam! How awesome right? I paid $33.19 for mine, but see it’s been reduced even further now to $29.90 – YAY. I bought it on the 11th Feb, it was shipped on the 24th, so it should be here any day now – so excited.

I chose the standard free shipping option (which can take up to a month I believe) and in terms of customs, I shouldn’t be charged anything on that item since it’s my first purchase this year (think you are allowed 2) and the total with shipping insurance came to around R410. According to SARS’ web I should be ok, but even so, customs duties on clothing imported to SA is usually 40%, so even if it came to around R574, it would still be worth it

I desperately want it to come now, as I have a few more things I want to buy (you can see them on my shop page), but to be safe, I want to wait for the cape to arrive before I go nuts 🙂

For more clarity on customs in SA read this:
      http://www.sars.gov.za/ClientSegments/Customs-Excise/AboutCustoms/Imports/Pages/Sending-and-receiving-goods-in-the-post.aspx

      Good luck
      X
