Can winter please just come already? I know, I know, summer is amazing blah blah, blah, but I really want to start wearing winter clothes again!
One of the things I was not looking forward to with winter however, was having dry, dull skin. Especially since winter in Jozi is a lot more drying to the skin than what I was used to in Durbs!
Not any more though, since I got to play around with L’OCCITANE‘s new limited edition, Shea Whipped Collection.
In two words, … its freaking amazing
The texture, for both the Body and Hand Cream is incredible, and it’s not just called “whipped” to make it sound fancy, it really is whipped!
One of the steps in the production of L’OCCITANE Shea butter, the women of Burkina Faso whip the paste to give it it’s mousse-like texture.
I am truly, madly, deeply in love with the CREME CORPS (Body Cream), and just want to eat it all up – it looks that good!
The packaging is beautiful and lightweight, so this little guy will definitely be going with me should the travel bug bite, and lets hope that it does!
The Hand Cream has the exact same, fluffy and whipped texture as the Body Cream, and comes in a cute 30ml tube that fits perfectly into your handbag.
On the skin both the Body and Hand creams feel incredibly buttery and soft, yet light and totally indulgent!
What I love is how they melt into the skin. A lot of “shea” products tend to leave a nasty residue that doesn’t absorb into the skin and flakes off. But, it is the complete opposite with the L’OCCITANE Shea Whipped Cream. Skin just loves to soak it all up!
To compliment this collection, the L’OCCITANE Shea Whipped Shower Foam, or in French, MOUSSE DE DOUCHE is a gorgeous, creamy shower foam that also has a whipped texture.
Once pumped, the texture comes out instantly foamy with a creamy consistency to it. Kinda like whipped cream (you know, the kind you add to strawberries).
All three of the products in this collection smell great – not over fragranced (so you can still spray on your favourite perfume without smelling too overpowering).
They leave your skin feeling soft, supple and gorgeous and they would make the perfect winter body indulgence for sure!
