Oily Roots and Dry Ends would be exactly the words I would use to describe my hair! Even after a day old wash, my ends often look dry and choppy and my roots, look like I haven’t washed my hair in days! So, when this new hair range by Lee Stafford landed on my desk I was beyond excited to put it to the test.
If oily roots and dry ends sounds like your hair dramas too, don’t worry, we are not alone! Apparently this is one of the most talked about hair dilemmas amongst Lee Stafford’s customers, so he created the perfect shampoo and conditioner just for us!
This two-piece collection, Oily Roots Dry Ends Shampoo and Oily Roots Dry Ends Conditioner works together to help us detox our hair with a “miracle tree” shampoo that mops up excess serum on the roots, while the Shea Butter & Keratin enriched conditioner, helps us to keep our tired ends feeling nourished and looking healthy.
I tried it out for the first time this week and was blown away by how fantastically fabulous it left my hair looking and feeling. To boot, it smells amazing and my hair shines without a trace of oily residue for two full days. Yesterday morning, I washed my hair, rough dried it and around mid morning I tied it in a loose bun. Last night when I unraveled my bun, my hair had the most incredible, lightweight bounce and it shone with a healthy glow. Every oily root, dry ends girls dream!
My hair has also been so easy to manage. I can run my fingers through it without it tangling or knotting, something that’s always a huge selling point for me.
I also tried out another magic little lotion-potion from Lee Stafford called Bleach Blonde Hot Shots.
This treatment is designed to knock out brassy tones in one shot. Now, I’m not blonde, but I do have blonde and caramel ombre going on in my hair and since I haven’t been to the salon in what seems like forever, my ombre was looking rather dull and brassy.
Well, I am happy to say that this little shot was the easiest, most pleasant way to liven up my blonde strands without going to the hairdresser. In fact, it took all of 2 minutes to get my blondes to lose the brassiness and revert back to their former, bright glory.
To use it, you wash your hair with shampoo, rinse and then apply a sachet of Lee Stafford Bleach Blonde Hot Shots treatment. Leave it on for two minutes and then rinse off and apply conditioner. That’s it! You get four 15ml sachets in each box, but since my hair is on the finer side, and it was only my ombre ends that needed a boost, I used about half a sachet.
This ash shampoo-ing treatment is ideal if you have blonde strands that have gone brassy or canary yellow. The bottom line is it will revive the blonde to it’s former glory and leave the brassiness dead in its tracks.
You use it every other time you wash your hair and it keeps your blondes brighter for longer while revitalising your hair.
The product itself is like a dark, deep purple that foams up and creates a nice thick lather that clings to your hair while you leave it in for 2 minutes. The texture feels a lot like at-home hair dye, but don’t worry, your hair won’t go purple! Once you rinse it out, its all gone and it wont leave your towels purple either.
Such great products that are definitely worth checking out!
Bye bye oily roots, hello healthy, vibrant hair I love!
