Hello September

Hi Friends! Happy Spring Day! September is an exciting month, not just because we’re welcoming warmer weather, but my little baby, StyleScoop turns 8 this month! Eight! Can you believe it?! Before I get into my monthly favourites, I just wanted to take this moment to thank each and every one of you who visited my blog today and throughout the years. I appreciate all your support, encouragement and above all, your interest and interaction! Without my beautiful readers, none of this would have been possible and I look forward to creating more beautiful content for you gals that will make life a little more fabulous.

Here are the things I’ve got my eye on this month…

GUCCI Ace Studded Leather Low Tops

Before you say it, no I am not becoming a sneaker head… or maybe I am? I’m actually quite into the whole Sports Luxe trend and love the fact that there are so many gorgeous non-gym-shoe-sneakers out there! Goodbye designer heels and sore feet, and hello to style and comfort!

While I could probably never drop R10k (or more considering our exchange rate and customs fees) on these Gucci Ace Studded Low Tops, this is my wish list, so I’m allowed to dream a little, or rather dream big!

But I mean, look at them! Just look at them! They are gorgeous! Am I right?

I love the classic green and red nylon stripes that give them that true GUCCI style and how amaze are those pearls and studs on the sides? Oh, and have you seen the back? Those spikes… swoon! If you have a look at the detail shots of these sneakers, you’ll see that the backs of these beauts are even more unique. One has a green back (as shown in my pic), and the other foot has a red back. Love, need, WANT!

If you’re in the mood for a little indulgence, check out the full collection of GUCCI’s fabulous sneakers over on their website. You will do your nut!

Which one has you falling in love?

Off the Shoulder Tops

I haven’t tried this style on me yet, but I’m looking forward to embracing the off the shoulder trend this summer. Love this flowy, girly and pastel pretty blouse from Mango. They have it in light pink too, which one would you choose?

Tan Bucket Bag

I don’t have a massive collection of handbags. I am quite content with having a small, versatile collection as opposed to a bag for every outfit, but I do feel like there is one “essential” bag missing from my collection.

For a while now, I’ve had my eye on this gorgeous, Mansur Gavriel bucket bag, which is incredibly beautiful! I love everything about it – everything except the price that is!

I have yet to find a similar leather bag while scouring our local shop offering, but if you gals have spotted a similar one please let me know!

The main reason I want a bucket style bag is so that I can hoard my DSLR without carrying a nerdy-ass camera bag. lol. This one looks like it will fit my camera nicely, and still make it easy for me carry it around. Plus, it’s downright gorgeous and all leather – which means it will only get better with age!

Lace Bralette

I’ve become obsessed with bralettes, especially those with cute back details. Our stylish friends over in the US and Europe have been rocking oversized vests with sexy, lacy bralettes peeking out all summer long, and since we’re only now going into the summer of ’16, I am sure we will be embracing this trend in SA.

I’ve been looking and looking for these everywhere and I’ve managed to find more than a few stylish options right now over on Superbalist, like this Diana Bralette. The front of it is pretty cute, with a delicate key hole shape, but the racer-style, all lacey back is what sold me on this one!

How cute would it look peeking out under an oversized vest with a cut out back?

Easy Tiger Espadrilles

As we embrace the new, warmer weather, it may still be a little too chillows for sandals, yet a bit warm for wearing boots, so what do you do? You wear espadrilles of course!

I love wearing espadrilles and they are the perfect between-season shoes! I’ve been wanting a pair of black ones, and found this pair of Circus by Sam Edelman espadrilles from Superbalist which I need in my life.

They also had another pair, which my hubby said “would suit me more” but I like the the cute, “Easy Tiger” graphic on these.

Chloe Fleur de Parfum

I’m jumping the gun here, since this new fragrance by Chloe only launches next month in October, but it’s so perfect for Spring that I couldn’t not include it in my Spring Wishlist.

I got to give it a pre-sniff at a press event and I fell in love with it. It’s my kinda Chloe – although for me it’s a tough one between Fleur de Parfum and Chloe Love Story.

Targeted towards the 25-35 year old’s Chloe Fleur de Parfum is a beautiful, grown up floral that’s still fresh enough to remain youthful and sexy. It has a heart of Verbena, Rose and Cherry and a wonderful, long lasting, yet not overpowering floral scent for spring/ summer.

A little heads up if you’re interested in this fragrance, it will be available at leading retailers like Edgars, Red Square and Stuttafords in October, and price wise you’re looking at R975 for the 30ml, R1 425 for the 50ml and R1 725 for the 75ml, all EDP’s.

What have you gals got on your spring wishlist?

Lol 🙂 Pity we’re not in the same city – I think we would be epic shopping partners. Bad for our bank balances, but good for the soul 🙂

I’ve just mailed Thalia Strates to get a price for that bag. Her collection is beautiful!!! I want the Nikki bag too!
