Pond’s Pimple Clear Review & My 3 Day Challenge

Pimples are no joke! They have the ability to completely ruin your mood – and somehow, they always seem to show their ugly face, right on the days when you could really do without the extra stress. The days of hiding are over because POND’S have just launched their biggest anti-pimple innovation in 95 years! I took the 3 day challenge to see just how well POND’S Pimple Clear works.

In my teen years, I hardly had pimple problems. Sure I had the odd spot, but never anything major.

As I got older, pimples became more of an issue for me. Call me a late bloomer, but my pimple problems probably started when I was around 28/29 – the same time my pigmentation/ melasma started getting worse.

For me, my pimple problem was hormonal and I had quite painful pimples on my jawline, cheeks, even down the back of my neck. Thankfully they cleared up with a long course of antibiotics, but even now, in my mid-thirties, I still get a pimple freakout every now and then.

It’s not that pimples are a major thing for me, but because I’m terrified of inflammation – inflammation could lead to more pigmentation by the way – I like to get the buggers gone before they get to comfortable.

Whether you suffer from severe pimples or just get the odd one here and there, you just want them gone.

So what do you do? You scrub your face – probably a bit too aggressively, you self-medicate yourself, try every lotion, potion, even old wives pimple “cures” and you end up making the situation worse.

In addition, when you have a pimple on your face, it takes over your entire mindset. It’s all you can think about and all you can see when you look in the mirror. It’s constantly on your mind, so you’re always fighting the urge to squeeze it or scratch it – even though you know this will only make it worse!

It’s time to #StopHiding with POND’S Pimple Clear. The new, clinically proven breakout busting range with Lock + Clear technology and Active Thymo-T Essence. This unique anti-pimple combination formulated with thyme and pine oils, targets pimples in just three days.

My Pond’s Pimple Clear 3 Day Challenge

Even though pimples are not a major thing for me, I am certainly not immune. The truth is, although I don’t often get big spots on my face, those little buggers, especially around my cheeks and chin often come up. They are fairly easy to cover up, but since I already have to spend so much time and effort concealing my discolouration/ pigmentation, who needs the extra drama?

I wear foundation every day, which means my skin is always covered and unless I’m sleeping, my naked skin (as in sans foundation/ coverup) hardly ever sees the light of day. While I use foundation to cover my uneven toned skin, I do worry that I’m not giving my skin the time it needs to breathe.

So when POND’S asked me to take on 3 Day Challenge, I was happy to put the Pimple Clear range to the test.

According to their research, scientists at The POND’S Institute, found that you can zap away pimples in just 3 days with their Pimple Clear routine; Washing your face using the POND’S Pimple Clear Face Wash and POND’S Pimple Clear Leave-On Expert Clearing Gel, twice a day, morning and evening.

Pimple Challenge: Day 1

Even though my annoying little bumps are practically invisible to others, I can see and feel them, so I know they are there. Let’s see if the POND’S 3 Day Pimple Clear Challenge can bring my skin back to smoothness.

I woke up this morning and washed my face using the POND’S Pimple Clear Facewash, then applied the  Pond’s Pimple Clear Expert Gel around my jaw line and smoothed it upwards, towards my cheeks – to nab the little buggers there too.

I’m very picky with cleansers as I don’t wont to disrupt my skin and cause redness. Although I don’t have sensitive skin per se, it’s become more sensitive lately and I’m terrified of inflammation that could lead to further pigmentation.

I really enjoy using this this face wash. A small amount mixed with some water makes a creamy yet gentle foam and it’s infused with pimple fighting thyme, so it smells beautifully invigorating.

When I rinse it off, my skin feels clean, clear and wonderfully cared for. No tautness, dryness or itchiness to speak of! It’s a winner!

Pimple Challenge: Day 2

My skin is looking good! While the little buggers are still there, they seem to have shrunk! Also, they are not as sensitive as they were before I started the 3 day challenge yesterday.

Even though it’s only day 2, I’m very impressed at how quickly this range has gone to work.

Pimple Challenge: Day 3

It’s the end of day 3 on the Pond’s Pimple Clear challenge and my skin is almost as smooth as a baby’s bottom! I can barely feel any bumps on my face. YAY!

The little buggers on my jawline seem to have disappeared completely, and the ones on my cheeks are well on their way out. Double YAY!

I think the Pond’s Pimple Clear Facewash is going to remain part of my daily routine! I love how it makes my skin feel and the smell is just too good! I like herby smells, and this one’s thyme infusion is really prominent – which I love!

As for future pimple problems, I have my Pond’s Expert Face Cream on hand and as soon as they start to surface, I’m glad that it will only take 3 days to zap them away!

If you suffer with pimple’s take the POND’S 3 Day Pimple Challenge and see for yourself just how quickly and effectively this duo gets to work.

Thanks to POND’S for collaborating with me on this post – all opinions (as always) are my own.

This sounds awesome! I don’t usually use Pond’s because I feel they cater for an oilier skin type. Do you reckon the pimple clear range would be the same?

Hi Cam. I have combo skin and it didn’t make my dry areas feel dry and scratchy at all. In fact even though I have an oily t-zone and dryness around the cheeks my skin felt nice and supple all over after the face wash. The pimple cream didn’t agrevate the dryness either if that’s what you’re concerned about
