Gelato Crush

I’m so excited about the new Elizabeth Arden Gelato Crush colour collection for summer! Glossy, sexy, shiny lipsticks and liners that are absolutely swoon-worthy!

With a glossy, sheen finish, these lipsticks are so hydrating, so creamy, so mouth watering delicious and they last pretty well for a sheer finish lip.

I’m so used to wearing matte lipsticks and liquid lipsticks because I like to keep my colour for longer, and as you know as amazing as those finishes are, they do tend to leave your lips high and dry!

Which is why I know I’ll be reaching for these Gelato Crush colours all summer long!

Inspired by Gelato, not only in colour, but in how the icy goodness cools you down,  these lip formulas are loaded with Hylauronic Acid. They also contain vitamins A, E, and Rosemary Extract, as well as Shea Butter and Peptites to smooth and condition your lips.

Once applied, you can actually feel the cooling ingredients perk up your pout!

I’m not usually a sheer finish lip kinda girl, not becuase I don’t like the finish (I really do) but I find that sheer finish lipsticks look so good for like 10 minutes and then they are gone. With these new Push Up Lip Gelato formulas from Elizabeth Arden, I get that creamy sexiness of a sheer finish lip, with the intensity of a gel colour and they last so well and feel incredibly comfortable.

Even after coffee, breakfast, more coffee and lunch, I still had colour on my lips! It wasn’t as “POP” as when I first applied it, but the wear down just leaves a nice dewy tint on the lips that doesn’t look flaky.

The Gelato Crush collection includes 10 different shades of lipsticks and 5 shades of creamy liners.

I got to choose my three besties from the lipstick collection. On the left (of the top pic) is my absolute favourite Candy Girl; a soft and nude-y pink. In the middle is Natural Blush; which is a perfect, muted down nude and on the right is Flirty Fuchsia; a hot, hot pink that is purrrfect for summer!

I also received two Plump Up Lip Liners from the Gelato Crush Collection, to match my lipstick choices.

The bright pink one is called Fuchsia Burst and the nude one is called Kiss of Coral and it goes beautifully with the two nude shades, and almost a perfect match for the Natural Blush lipstick shade.

The Plump Up Liners are so creamy and so easy to apply. They have a nifty silicone paddle tip on the other end, which is so much better than those annoying spongey lip liner blenders we’re so used to. This flexible tip lets you push and pull the liner around your lips for a line free, seamless application.

The lipstick case is also really cool and quite unique. To open, you slide the Elizabeth Arden logo across and voila, your lipstick pops out.

I love this packaging. It’s chic and elegant and for a playful colour collection, the packaging suits its fun personality.

I’m obsessed, obsessed, obsessed!

BTW That’s Candy Girl in my Ice Cream Kiss… Isn’t she predddddddy?

Do yourself a favour and try out the Gelato Crush Collection. I am sure you will find a colour that you absolutely adore. Price wise, you’re looking at R295 for the Push Up Gelato Lipsticks and R225 for the Plump Up Lip Liners.
