Bikini Season is here

Don’t let today’s headline scare you because  I’ve got the inside scoop on some of the hottest Ladies Swimsuit Styles this summer! Full disclosure, I don’t particularly “love” getting into a bikini, but I’ve found that when you find a style that suits you, no matter your physique (we don’t all look like Kayla Itsines), you’ll feel fabulous!

Here are few Ladies Swimwear items I’ve got my eye on, from one of my favourite online retailers, Superbalist…

Black and White

When swimsuit shopping, let’s get one thing out of the way first… Support is everything! When your girls look happy, well you feel happy – am I right? One of the biggest things that I look for in a swimsuit is that it offers the right support.

Now, my second key to swimsuit shopping is choosing a monotone option. For me I just feel black and white is such a classic to go for and looks really good no matter what. I usually buy two swimsuits per season, the first one is always something classic (and yes, black and white) and the second, something fun and playful like the other options I’ll show you today.

Love this Padded underwire bikini top with crossover detail in cute zebra print (R319).  If you’re wanting to hide your tummy, this Palm Leaf Tankini set (R749) is also beautiful and flattering with a subtle v-neckline and high waisted bottoms.

Tropical Heat

Next up, the tropics! This is another print I’m obsessed with when it comes to donning a swimsuit, and let’s be honest here – nothing looks more beautiful than a tropical print on a bronzed body lying on the beach!

This Electra Bikini Set (on sale from R649, now R319) is so beautiful and ticks all the boxes! Color – check! Padded cups – check! Push-up top – check, check! Another winner, this Hibiscus dream underwire padded bikini top (R699) will endure you look beach ready and glam!

Feminine Flair

Tassels in or out for this season? Who cares! It’s 2019 which means you make your own fashion rules! And one of my fashion rules is to wear what I like and what looks good on my body!

So, I’m swooning over this blue Slim tie bikini top (R849). I love the subtle and feminine tassels and the gorgeous floral embroidered details. Then, let’s talk about the matching Adjustable side bikini bottoms (R649) which also flatter the figure beautifully.

Before you say ouch on the price, know this! When it comes to bikini shopping, there is very little for you to accessorise it with – you know what I mean? It’s not like buying a really cheap shirt and balancing it out with killer expensive heels. What you have on, is what you have on, so change your mindset from thinking a cheap bikini is something you need. What you need is one really beautiful bikini that makes you look (and feel) like a queen!

Flattering Cutouts and Flares!

If you, like me LOVE cutout swimsuits but feel you don’t have the body to rock them – consider choosing a bikini that has cut outs in the right places for your body. Slicing along the waistline, only works for the select few who, while we were sipping on Nutella Hot Chocolate all winter, were out running in the cold!

This Feather Wrap Bikni Top (on sale from R399 to R199) has the perfect cutout detail that still flatters. And this cute as a button Tropic Yellow number (on sale from R549 to R369) features feminine ruffles that not only add a touch of girliness, but this bikini toop mans you can take a dive without worrying about losing your top.

Cute Retro Vibe

I just can’t handle the cuteness of these two bikini tops! I love a little retro vibe and these seventies and sixties styled trends have me thinking of old Malibu snapshots.

Itsy, bitsy, teeny weeny (heart) polka dot bikini… it doesn’t get cuter than this Nay Bikini Top (R299). I also love the whole seventies vibe in this brown and white Beachy Keen Bikini Top (R449).
