A Girls Guide To Decorating – Book Review

A Girls Guide To Decorating – Book Review

Decorating made for girls, decorating made fun… When I’m not obsessing over shoes, clothes and makeup (in that order), I’m obsessing about decorating. In May last year we bought our house and while it’s been fun making it “home”, being an older house, we’re still at the “must-do-fixes” stage! You know that stage when you really want to revamp your living room with pretty curtains and some new furniture, but fixing the leaky roof generally becomes more of a concern, and an expensive one at that. It’s nice to know though, that with a little bit if inspiration, some creative thinking and expert advice, you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg on the decor details. I received a book a few weeks ago and I’ve been reading it religiously, like it’s my decor bible. It’s by designer and stylist Abigail Ahern who owns one of London’s leading interior stores, the name A Girl’s Guide to Decorating – don’t you just love the title? The book itself is fun to read, beautifully illustrated and it’s filled with fun, hip ideas to zhush up your home! Everything from analyzing a room to planning you space. Making small spaces look bigger…
