Hi There

3 Holiday Hair Essentials Worth Lugging Along

3 Holiday Hair Essentials Worth Lugging Along

I’ve narrowed down my holiday hair products to the bare essentials. Moroccanoil Light, Batiste Dry Shampoo and a big ol’ Wool floppy hat. That’s it! I cannot live without Moroccanoil Light. Seriously, it’s the best invention ever – and while there are other hair oils out there (and so many of them are fab), I love my Moroccanoil! I have the “big boy” (aka full sized bottle)  sitting on my dressing table, and I like to keep this baby bottle in my travel bag, to make sure I don’t ever leave it behind. It’s happened before and lets just say, I did not have a good hair day! Then, my just-in-case hair essential is Batiste Dry Shampoo. It’s just one of those products… you never know when you’ll need it. On holiday anything can happen… hotel has no hot water, you oversleep and can’t wash your hair, (or another drama) and lets face it, nobody likes to go through the day with dirty, stringy hair! These are also sold in miniatures (and different scent options) so they make for the perfect little travel companions. And last but not least, my big ol Wool Floppy Hat! I’m very much a hat-on-holiday kinda girl, because they protect your hair and face from the sun, but also add that extra…

ON BOARD! Beauty Products To Keep In Your Carry-On

ON BOARD! Beauty Products To Keep In Your Carry-On

I have a confession to make! I’m an over-packer, and I tend to haul hundreds of things with me on holiday. You know, for those “just in case” moments! But I’m getting smarter! This time when I fly (holiday time again, yay!), I’ve carefully thought out what beauty products to bring with me on the plane. I’ve narrowed it down to eight travel beauty essentials that don’t take up too much space, and will help me look fresh and wide awake when I step off the plane. Giovanni D:tox I received this awesome pack of travel-sized skin-care products from Giovanni. The D:Tox kit includes a Purifying Facial Cleanser, Facial Scrub, Replenishing Facial Moisturizer and a Purifying Facial Mask, all nicely packaged in a TSA compliant clear bag. That way I can just hop on a plane and not worry about airport officials emptying out my luggage (embarrassing). I probably wont use the mask and scrub on the plane (that could be kinda scary!), but I will probably end up using the cleanser and moisturizer. Either way, the pack is small enough to haul and I can feel better, you know “just in case”! Like Just in Case we end up being stranded in Dubai…

Dry Shampoo Never Smelt So Good

Dry Shampoo Never Smelt So Good

Batiste, which is the original dry shampoo from way back in the 70’s, have just launched two fabulous new scents… Dry shampoo never smelt so good! Strut your stuff like a peacock with the new Paisley Batiste Dry Shampoo or get fruity with the new Cherry Batiste Dry Shampoo. Two delicious scents that will instantly refresh your hair, while making it smell fantastic! Batiste is my favourite, in fact it’s the ultimate dry shampoo range! Besides being the original, they always come out with such yummy scents, good enough to eat! Check out some of their past “flavours” that have been featured on StyleScoop before. Back to the new scents… of the two, the Fruity & Cheeky Cherry is my fave. It’s got a soft, summer, almost bubble gum scent with a hint of cherry and I also get a whiff of mint?! The Paisley is a little spicier and has a stronger scent if you’re into that sort of thing. While I do love my spicy perfumes, on my hair however, I prefer that it smell more “fresh” and girly. If you happen to find yourself in a Clicks store, stop pass the Batiste range and give these two a sniff. The new scents are available right…

Beauty Bytes: Summer Beauty Product Reviews For Hair, Lips & Body

Beauty Bytes: Summer Beauty Product Reviews For Hair, Lips & Body

Kicking off our 2013 Beauty Product reviews, here are some of the products I received last month that made it into my tried, tested and product list. Batiste Dry Shampoo These dry shampoos came just in time for this sticky, humid, summer heat wave we’ve been having. I swear I feel like I’ve been sitting in a sauna for ever. The weather has been absolute bliss, and while I love it, my hair certainly doesn’t. I’ve been using Batiste Dry Shampoo’s almost every day to try and combat the slick, sticky look my hair often ends up with mid-day. While a dip in the pool is always a welcomed cool off, it’s not that easy when you’re sitting behind a desk. So, dry shampoo is the next best thing – for my hair at least! Batiste Dry Shampoo comes in a variety of scents and variants, some of these include; Blush, Diva, Boho, Dark Deep Brown and XXL Volume. “Blush” is my fave smelling one, but because my hair is dark, I prefer using the “Dark & Deep Brown” version instead, and the smell is also rather nice. Dry shampoo is pretty much a blast of powder that serves as a quick fix to…
