Good morning fabulous people! Lately I’ve been coveting (so what else is new), so I thought I’d start a new series here on StyleScoop called I Covet… and I’m kicking off with Classic Designer Staples! I’ve set my expectations high, and since we’re dreaming in any case, I’ve picked out designer pieces that I totally think are worth the investment… even if it’s something that will only happen 10, 20 years down the line! I reckon even then, I’ll still want these same pieces! A girl can dream can’t she? Burberry Trench Coat Number one on my aim-for-the-stars wish list is this Burberry Sandringham Long Trench coat – of course! I mean, it’s probably the number one wardrobe staple that will never go out of style! Am I right? My fixation with owning a Burberry Trench has always been around, but it was only when I attended the My Burberry fragrance launch that I really, really felt the NEED! At the launch I got to discover the history of this amazing coat, made from a very special fabric, and got to touch and feel its beauty with my own grubby hands! My Burberry, Like London in the Rain

Ahh, the Burberry Trench Coat! One of the most iconic, most coveted fashion pieces of all time! I want one! Unfortunately my piggy bank isn’t big enough to afford one, but at least, I now have a piece of the Burberry Trench, with the launch of the brands’ new fragrance, My Burberry! The concept behind this truly British scent, is to give everyone a chance to own their own Burberry, even if they can’t afford the Trench. Those who own a Burberry trench coat, affectionally refer to their coat as “My Burberry”. Burberry Creative Director, Christopher Bailey says the fragrance is like “a little bit of England, that will travel the world, just like the Burberry Trench.” The little details that make the Burberry Trench iconic reflect in the concept and design of the fragrance. The colour palette of the juice is reminiscent of the signature honey shade, one of the three colours used in the brand’s Heritage Trench Coat collection. The horn-finished cap reflects the trench coat button, while the ribbon, which is hand tied in Yorkshire (like the trench coat) is made from the same fabric as a Burberry Trench (English woven Gabardine) and hand-knotted in the same style.
