GUCCI PREMIÈRE Launches Eau De Toilette

GUCCI PREMIÈRE Launches Eau De Toilette

Exciting news for GUCCI fragrance fans! This week saw the launch of the gorgeous new Gucci Première EDT, a lighter and brighter version of the original GUCCI Première EDP. I’m not familiar with the original Gucci Première EDP, but what I can say from previous experience with GUCCI fragrances (GUCCI OUD and Flora By GUCCI 1966), is that this one is much softer and more delicate than traditional GUCCI scents. The strong scent is what I love about GUCCI fragrances, but as we head into warmer weather, a lighter fragrance is always welcome! The fragrance reminds me of champagne summers and definitely lives up to its “standard” of being a fragrance designed to set a celebratory mood. I love the sparkling citrusy top notes infused with jasmine, that dry and settle into a leathery-musky patchouli base.   Gucci Première fragrances take their inspiration from the Gucci Première couture collection, where luxurious evening gowns have been created and worn by world’s most captivating Hollywood stars, including; Salma Hayek Pinault, Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz, Naomi Watts, Kate Beckinsale and Li Bing Bing. Adoring the campaign for Gucci Première EDT, is no stranger to Hollywood, and none other than the gorgeous starlette, Blake Lively. She is the essence of young Hollywood glam and the epitome of classic style. Gucci Première EDT is available in three size…

Flora By Gucci 1966 {fragrance friday}

Flora By Gucci 1966 {fragrance friday}

Gucci fragrances are fast becoming my new faves! I’ve always been more a Dolce & Gabbana/ Thierry Mugler gal, but since my GUCCI OUD feature, and now Flora By Gucci 1966, I’ve got a new fragrance BFF brand! The GUCCI Flora range was so exclusive, that you could only purchase it from GUCCI boutique stores. Thankfully, you don’t need to venture too far! This gorgeous collection, including the new Limited Edition Flora 1966, is available both in the GUCCI boutique stores, as well as selected department store counters. Flora 1966 celebrates the birth of a legend, true to the GUCCI heritage. The story begins in Milan in 1966, when the then Prince of Monaco, Prince Rainier, bought his wife, Grace Kelly to the GUCCI boutique. Rodolfo Gucci insisted that Princess Grace choose a gift to accompany the bamboo bag that she had purchased. Ever the lady, Princes Grace requested a scarf. Rodolfo felt that the House lacked one sufficiently beautiful for the royal style icon and so he commissioned illustrator Vittorio Accornero to create the most beautiful print he could imagine. Accornero returned with his painting: the “Flora”, a sumptuous, multi-hued, flowered template destined to become a design classic. The Flora motif, prominent on iconic GUCCI scarves, is…

GUCCI OUD {fragrance.friday}

GUCCI OUD {fragrance.friday}

Inspired by GUCCI Creative Director, Frida Giannini’s travels, the new fragrance from GUCCI, GUCCI OUD is a celebration of the deep and sensual fragrances of the Orient. It’s an intense and sexy scent that can be worn by women and men alike. It’s opulent and spicy – my favourite type of fragrance, with a distinct eastern scent reminiscent of a sandy desert. If you’re a fan of Tom Ford Sahara Noir or Black Orchid, then this fragrance will be a sure winner! It’s strong, sensual and has a very unique, distinct scent! GUCCI OUD opens with top notes of Pear, Raspberry and Saffron. This amazing blend then lingers into opulent notes of Bulgarian Rose and Orange Flower, before settling into an amber and musk base, with OUD at the core. GUCCI OUD also stays true to the GUCCI brand, and like all GUCCI fragrances, Patchouli notes are prominent in the base notes as well. The OUD used in GUCCI OUD has been specially selected, cultivated and purified for GUCCI. It comes from central Laos, and is grown in a sustainable, managed way that ensures the appropriate respect for this precious resource. OUD is an extremely rare, dark resinous heartwood that forms in Aquilaria and Gyrinops trees in the Middle East.…

Golden Globes 2014 Fashion Fix! Give Us Your Vote!

The 2014 Golden Globes Awards took place on Sunday, 12th January 2014 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Take a look at some of the fashion, as we give you the inside scoop on a few really snazzy and stylish stars… Dressed by Giorgio Armani, Cate Blanchett, who won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in “Blue Jasmine”, looked dazzling in an Armani Privé black lace and tulle gown. This gorgeous gown with loads of “drama” featured delicate embroidery, highlighted by a high neck, open back and cap sleeves. Shimmering with black Swarovski crystals, her gown showed off an an elegant and regal silhouette. It’s no wonder Cate chose Armani to dress her, she is after all the face of Armani’s iconic new female fragrance, SÌ! Presenters at this year’s Golden Globes, Mila Kunis together with hunky Channing Tatum, both looked sleek and stylish in GUCCI head to toe! Mila Kunis wore a Gucci Première pale grey silk chiffon halter neck gown. Her gown featured silver metallic floral embroidery at the neck and a degrade of sequins at the waist.  She paired her floor skimming gown with a pair of silver embellished platform open toe heels. Channing Tatum wore a…
