Colourful and shiny! Guerlain launches two fabulous new products for 2013; Gloss d’Enfer, an intense colour lip gloss and La Laque Enamel for long lasting nail colour with super shine Twenty beautiful, glossy lip shades form part of the gloss collection, which includes a selection of pinks and berry reds to beautiful beiges and coral lips. The one I got to sample was in colour 440 – Coral Wizz, an absolutely perfect-for-summer shade. Having never tried any of the Guerlain lip glosses before, I must say I love the applicator. The tip has been flattened on both sides, which feels very comfortable on the lips and gives you a perfect application. The colour, well, I love coral, and totally feeling this one! The colour isn’t quite as intense on the lips as it looks in the tube, but nonetheless a fabulous shade that seems to compliment my own lip colour, amping up the intensity. The texture of the gloss is super fine and smooth and it doesn’t feel at all tacky or gooey. There are also ten tempting nail shades that match the lippies. PARIS is my kingdom.. I stroll through it at will. My light step leaves no eyes still. It’s the perfect little black dress! Guerlain’s new fragrance, La Petite Robe Noire, which translated from French means “Little Black Dress” is a gorgeous scent, that makes this week’s Fragrance Friday! It comes in a beautiful bottle, reminiscent of a French boutique and is packaged in it’s own little gift box – no wrapping necessary! The scent’s main note is unmistakably rose, but with a Parisian twist that kinda reminds me a little bit of YSL’s Parisienne. I’m not the biggest fan of rose fragrances because they always seem to sweet to me, but this one, although sweet has a lovely spicy personality! It makes me want to put on my very best little black dress, gather my hair in a fuss free bun, put on my highest heels and spin around the room like a ballerina. La Petite Robe Noir was first created in 2009 as a limited edition fragrance. In February last year, Guerlain launched the second limited edition fragrance and earlier this year, they decided to bring it back after Guerlain’s in-house perfumer, Thierry Wasser added his modification and French flair to the scent. November sees the launch of the beautiful Guerlain Christmas Look. A collection inspired by a midnight blue colour, like a night full of stars… The inspiration started with a name, a symbol of the fragrance house… the Perfume Vol De Nuit. Beautifully packaged, the perfume leaves a luminous stardust on your skin, punctuating it with blue-green and silvery pearlescent flashes. It can be used on the hair as well, to leave you sparkling all over for Christmas…. I have’nt smelt it yet, but just take a look at the packaging! It’s to die for! I know you want to look good no matter what the season, so I’ve picked and reviewed my top five summer foundations of the moment (in order) and here they are! Tried, Tested and Loved – of course! 1. BOBBI BROWN TINTED MOISTURIZER COMBINED WITH BOBBI BROWN FOUNDATION STICK As a combo, Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer and Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick is my favourite summer foundation of the moment. On its own, the Tinted Moisturizer offers a nice even tone and gives the skin a nice healthy glow, but the magic happens when you apply the Foundation Stick lightly over it, and only where you need it. This combo is great for both day and night as you can custom build your coverage to suit your look. Ohh, I think I’m in love! I recently got to test out two new products from Guerlain, my first time ever using this brand and all I can say is, me likey! A Lot! Imagine covering your skin with sexy lingerie and pearls that make you feel like a million bucks? We’ll that pretty much describes how you’ll feel when you use Guerlain Lingerie de Peau foundation and Guerlain Meteorite Perles. Let’s start with the Meteorites Perles, a light diffusing primer that looks good enough to eat. How gorgeous is that bottle? I almost didn’t want to use it, but really glad I did and now it’s one of my firm favourites. To sum it up, it’s pure luxury in a bottle! Apply it before your foundation and it transforms your skin into a perfect canvas, that sets your skin beautifully and allows your foundation to glide on gorgeously. The texture of the Meteorites Perles is not quite a cream and not quite a gel either. It’s non greasy, non sticky and it also gives your skin a nice “fresh” look.
