Inglot’s Pantone 2016 Colour Collection

Inglot’s Pantone 2016 Colour Collection

The Pantone 2016 colours; Rose Quartz and Serenity are probably one of my best colour palettes! Elegance Untamed Braided Hair Look

Elegance Untamed Braided Hair Look

I’m so excited for the Wild Africa Cream launch party happening in Jozi this week. And, if you entered my giveaway, today I’ll announce who will be joining me with their BFF for an evening of Elegance Untamed! Read to the end of this post to see if it’s you! This week I wanted to play around with something different. I wanted to show you how to incorporate a touch of leopard into a chic evening look, by giving your hair a bit of a wild edge… Since I really suck at doing my own hair, I had the help of my talented hairdresser, Louise from Eclat Creatif (she’s amazing) whip up this edgy, boho braided creation with a touch of leopard print. We used my ClipinHair Extensions (read my review here) to add more fullness to my braid. Isn’t it beautiful?! I finished my look off with a simple LBD and my new Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. They are so cute! They have an almost leopard print effect to them and inside, they have flash of fun with red and white polka dots. For my makeup, I used these beautiful goodies from Inglot. On my eyes, I used this palette that was specially created for Wild…

Elegance Untamed

Elegance Untamed

I’m so excited to finally be able share these Behind the Scenes images and tell you more about an exciting project with Wild Africa Cream. Together with the beautiful Carlinn (Superficial GirlsG) and Thithi (TEETEEISWITHME), we were chosen as ambassadors to welcome the new look Wild Africa Cream in style… by adding elegance to every girl’s must have wardrobe item, the LBD, AKA Little Black Dress. Wild Africa Cream is a smooth and delicious cream liqueur, made in South Africa. You’ll probably remember it by the bold leopard “fur coat” packaging it used to have. Well, it now offers the same amazing taste, but this time around, it’s got a more elegant and refined new look. To celebrate the re-birth of their packaging, the three of us had a fun shoot for Marie Claire Magazine that you can see in the November 2014 issue, styling our favourite Little Black Dresses. Stick around as I’ll be sharing my #EleganceUntamed fashion and beauty posts throughout the month of November. In the meantime, here are some pics from the day… By the way, you guys can also enjoy a bit of #EleganceUntamed at the Wild Africa Cream Exclusive Launch Parties happening in Cape Town on 19th November 2014, or Jozi on the 4th December 2014. Make it a night out and bring your untamed elegance by wearing your favourite LBD with a touch…

New “Everyday” Foundation Routine

New “Everyday” Foundation Routine

My everyday foundation routine changes from time to time. Since I am a beauty blogger, I get exposed to a lot of really cool new products, making it rather difficult to stick to one brand and one foundation routine. I thought I’d share my current, “everyday” foundation routine with you guys as I’ve been trying, testing and loving a few new products right now… Foundation I still have my absolute favourite foundations, like MAC Studio Fix, Chanel Vitalumiere, Makeup Forever HD, Chanel Perfection Lumiere and Estee Lauder Maximum Cover, but for every day, and for the time being at least, I’m loving the all new L’Oreal Infallible 24H Foundation! It’s really impressed me! I have used the old Infallible foundation, which I found to be a little thick and pasty, and I also couldn’t get any of the colours to match. But this new formula, with a Hydrating Hyaluron Complex, and “extreme hold pigments” has really improved the product. Now the foundation goes on a lot smoother, blends beautifully and lasts a really long time. Plus for me, the colour range is more up my (olive skin toned) alley! I’m using a combination of the shade Honey (235) and Amber (300) and the result is a perfect match! I found the best way to apply…

Berry Beautiful

Berry Beautiful

A little while ago, I met up with Charli from INGLOT, so that he could tell me about all the amazing new (makeup) things coming our way, from one of my favourite makeup brands. He gave me a few samples from the latest INGLOT Berry Collection to try them out. The nail colours, come in six fabulous shades and are all O2M Breathable Nail Enamels. Which is Inglot’s signature line that allows moisture and oxygen to pass through the nail colour, keeping your nails in tip top condition. I got to sample two colours. Shade 689 is a pretty gorgeous deep burgundy red, which I didn’t love at first. But once I put it on my nails, I was sold. I’m actually still wearing it on my toes, and it’s a really lovely plum red colour. The second shade, 691 is a royal purple that looks very much like black, but with rich purple tones. It’s a great colour for dark moods, and if you want to wear black, but not black if you know what I mean! Both of these are really nice, rich colours that will keep your nails happy for the last few weeks of winter! They lasted on my nails for three days without chipping, and my nails still looked healthy after…

So you guys know my obsession with Inglot cosmetics?! I absolutely love, love, love their stuff and have always thought that they offer great, high quality cosmetics at decent prices! Well, now they have an even more amazing offer, where you can grab their “Essential” products at a fraction of the cost! The Inglot Essentials Kit offers an all in one pack of Inglot’s hot selling products, including; False Lash Effect Mascara, Under Makeup Base, Kohl Pencil and Sleeks Lip Gloss. Even better, they are offering this kit at a reduced rate of R449! The retail value of this kit is R876, so it’s a huge score! This is a really great promotion, and a great opportunity to try the brand out if you haven’t used anything from Inglot before! While I have millions of their eye shadows, and a couple of other products, I have never used any of the products in this kit, so it was a great chance for me to discover some amazing new products. False Lash Effect Mascara My fave product from this collection is the False Lash Effect mascara. I am an absolute mascara whore addict, and in all honesty, I can live without other makeup, but…

Inglot Coffee Collection

Inglot Coffee Collection

INGLOT have just launched their exciting Coffee Collection. Inspired by the decadence of coffee, this collection is purrrrfect for winter! Here’s the selection I got to play with.. Freedom Eye Shadow in shade 155 is a gorgeous, creamy golden colour that adds amazing depth to your lids. AMC Eyeliner Gel in 93 which has a rich, metallic effect. Looks great as an eye liner on plain lids or layered over the golden eyeshadow. You can also use this gel liner as an intense, metallic eyeshadow – perfect for a night out. Totally yummy, Inglot Nail Enamel in 365. This is a gorgeous beige that looks like latte! Love it, so Beckham indeed! What do you think of this collection? Yummy right?

Nail Polish That Breathes

Nail Polish That Breathes

Loving these gorg new nail colours from Inglot! Never mind the pretty colours, these “breathable nail polishes” are the absolute bomb! Inglot’s Breathable Nail polish range is called O2M and while it coats your nails in a beautiful, solid colour, it simultaneously allows them to breathe, by allowing oxygen to pass through the polish and into the nail. The result, healthy nails that still look as fun and colourful as you want them to. So, if you’re obsessed with painting your nails in different colours every day, then you should definitely try out this range. The colours in the pic above (from left): 667, 659, 665 and 672.  Here, I am wearing Inglot O2M in colour 659. It’s a beautiful coral that goes on nice and solid with just one coat and it lasts! I snapped this pic after wearing this colour for 4 days! Very Impressive, considering how hard I am on my nails.

Hello stylish peeps! Can you believe it’s Monday already? Inglot’s Hawaiian Bar Colour Collection

Inglot’s Hawaiian Bar Colour Collection

How cold has the weather been this week? I am frozen solid! On the bright side (and I do mean bright side), Inglot has a great new summer inspired collection, that will brighten up your mood and would look awesome paired a South African summer tan… All we need now, is for the weather to play nice, the rain to stop and the sun to come out and give us some summer lovin’. Inglot’s Hawaiian Bar Colour collection includes 5 brand new Freedom Eye Shadow colours, 8 new Freedom System Blush shades, 2 new AMC Multicolour System Face and Body Powders, 10 new Sleeks Lip Glosses and 12 new Nail Enamels… I got to play with some goodies from this collection, take a look… From the 5 new Freedom Eye Shadow shades, featured above are colours; #313, #612 and #311. The other two shades from the collection are; #312 and #314. From the 8 new Freedom System Blushes, I tried out #70. I do love the fun, pastel shades of the eye shadows and while the blush does look quite bright in the palette, blending a tiny amount with a brush on your cheeks gives them a lovely summer glow. This palette also reminds me of watermelon! Yum! Bright and bee-u-tiful, Inglot Sleeks Cream #102 is…

Mediterranean Inspiration – Inglot Aqua-Blue Culture

Mediterranean Inspiration – Inglot Aqua-Blue Culture

There is nothing like a summer vacation on the Med!  The gorgeous blue skies and sandy beaches paired with the crystal clear teal and turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea! If you can’t get to the Med to enjoy summer, what better way than to bring the gorgeous colours of the Mediterranean to you? Check out this fantabulous new collection from Inglot called Aqua-Blue Culture. It’s the perfect combination of electric blues with Med inspired greens for eyes and nails, and for the lips, a pop of coral to finish it all off. I got to play with some of the goodies in this collection and absolutely love it! The Nail Enamel (989) is the perfect mix of green and blue. It goes on beautifully and gives your nails a true-to-the-bottle colour, which I love! For the eyes, I got to play with colours 316 (green) and 315 (blue), both of which are vibrant, matte shadows. The combination of these two shadows also create the most electric look, especially when you finish if off with Inglot’s Colour Play Mascara in blue. For the lips, what better way to finish off green and blue eyes with pretty coral lips? Inglot Sleeks Cream in 102 is a lovely light coral that…

Inglot Makeup Brushes REVIEW

Inglot Makeup Brushes REVIEW

Back in ’09 I did a weekly feature on the different MAC makeup brushes and I have pretty much been them non-stop ever since. Plus I’ve added a few more to my collection. Girl’s gotta have the right tools you know! Then INGLOT opened shop in South Africa and I’ve been so hooked on their makeup (their eye shadows are beyond awesome and their gel liner gives my favourite Bobbi Brown Gel liner a run for it’s money), I have been keen to try out their brushes to see if they were any good. That and a lot of my readers asked me what I thought of them, and now, after trying out some of the INGLOT brushes, I can say, go ahead and get them! They are great quality and I’ll definitely be adding more of these to my kit. So I asked Inglot’s National Trainer to pick out four of her fave Inglot brushes for use on eye makeup application and this was her top brush picks… << The Inglot 4SS Brush Price – R199 This brush made from squirrel substitute and features a wooden handle. It’s best used for blending eye makeup, contouring cheeks or applying blusher to the apple of the cheeks I’ve…

Play with Coloured Lashes with these new Mascaras

Play with Coloured Lashes with these new Mascaras

Inglot have just launched five of the most amaze(eye)balls super pigmented, coloured mascaras… Electric Blue, Emerald Green, Purple, Navy Blue and Brown! Yum! Inglot Colour Play Mascara goes on beautifully and coats each lash with rich, vibrant colour. Today Im wearing the blue, but the green is my favourite!  The formula of this mascara lasts all day long, doesn’t smudge or clump and it’s water resistant! I used the mascara over my normal lashes and the colour came out nice and bright! However, for an even more eye-popping effect, Inglot suggests using a white eyelash primer before applying your Colour Play Mascara! I’m going to try that next! PS! If you’ve got sensative eyes, Inlgot Colour Play mascara should be safe for you to use. It’s dermatologically tested and safe for contact lenses. Get them! Inglot Colour Play Mascara’s retail at R149 each and they have a special offer running at the moment, where you can buy two for R250!

The StyleScoop PURE Palette by INGLOT

The StyleScoop PURE Palette by INGLOT

I have some very exciting news to share with you guys today… As you know INGLOT is one of my personal favourite makeup brands for eye shadows! Not only do they have a gazillion colours to choose from in their freedom system, but they are super pigmented and long lasting. Better yet, they are affordable at only R79 for over 2 grams of shadow! The only problem with INGLOT (if you want to call it that) and I’m sure many of you will agree, is that there are so many colours, it’s often difficult to choose a single shade. I’ve often found myself going in there to buy a brown and been so overwhelmed by the different brown choices, that I end up not buying anything! So, I thought I’d make it easier for you guys. I’ve put together a palette of colours that I think will work on just about anyone, and named it the STYLESCOOP PURE PALETTE by INGLOT! If you like this colour palette you can go into any INGLOT standalone store and ask for it by name, so there is no need to write down the different codes for each colour. This gorgeous 5-pan palette is my absolute fave at the moment and…

Inglot Body Pigments!

Inglot Body Pigments!

I was so excited when I got to play with these little pots of body pigment from Inglot! They are beyond amazing and if you love makeup as much as I do, you will love the selection of 40 colours! That’s right, 40 beautiful shades to make your little makeup-mad-mind go nuts! Ingot Body Pigments come in little 1gram jars, and you can mix them up to create your own colour for your face or body. Add a dollop of Inglot Duraline to the mix and you can create electric liquid liners, bold body paint, intense lip colour and loads more! Pigments are so much more fun that eye shadows, don’t you agree? Like all of Inglot’s products, their body pigments are pro quality, long lasting and highly pigmented. In the image above, I swatched Inglot Body Pigment Powder in 171 (that’s the only single thing I dont like about Inglot, that their products dont have names but rather use a number system), but something I’ll get over I’m sure! To get the dark pink lines, I mixed my 171 Body Pigment with a drop of Duraline. I tried out three different thicknesses using my fine liner brush. Then using a blending brush, I blended out some colour to create a pretty…
