Karl Lagerfeld surprised audiences once again, as he unveiled Chanel’s 2015-16 Fall/ Winter collection. Always creating unique backdrops and beautiful settings for his shows, this 3D Collection, was presented in a casino theme reinvented at the Grand Palais. Between card games, roulette tables and slot machines, models with their neo-tomboy plunging bob hairstyles, showcased a very structured and graphic silhouette, while celebs and close friends of Chanel played blackjack in Le Cercle Prive.  Uniting the traditional expertise of Haute Couture with the latest technologies, Karl Lagerfeld created a range of 3D suits, using the “selective laser sintering” technique, where pieces come painted, embroidered with beads, lined with satin, embroideries or braided in leather. The CHANEL jacket was completely reinvented and thrust into a whole new dimension. “The idea was to take the most iconic jacket from the 20th century and turn it into a 21st century version which was technically not possible at the time it was born” says Lagerfeld. The iconic Chanel Tweed embellished dresses and suits were trimmed with the “new Chanel braid”, sewn into the continuity of the fabric.
