My every-day makeup is minimal. But no matter what, the one thing I cannot (and will not) do without is mascara! It’s a girl’s best friend! Just not when it pokes you in the eye! So imagine a mascara with a perfectly contoured wand, that takes application into consideration, as much as it does lush, long lashes! Well gals, there’s a new mascara in town and it’s worth all the hype! Lancôme Grandiôse is here! Consider it a fusion of innovation and fantasy, technical flair and sheer refinement! It streamlines and simplifies the application of mascara thanks to it’s really unique wand and brush design. It gets into all the little corners and curves, to give you a full set of lush lashes! It’s easy to apply on your top and bottom lashes and both eyes (whether you’re right or left handed). The formula is flexible, sleek and long lasting. It also conditions the lashes with Lancôme’s exclusive Native Rose-Cell Extract™ that leaves lashes softer, supple and more resistant so that your mascara wears longer. Lancôme mascaras are among my faves! One of my all time faves is Lancôme Hypnose Drama, and I like Hypnose Star for every day kinda…

So gals, as promised, here’s a Fragrance Friday just for you (seeing as we did one for the guys already). Lancome La Vie est Belle L’eau EDT launched in SA recently as a lighter version of the original, La Vie est Belle. L’eau EDT is a grown up (yet not old granny) floral scent that is luminous and happy. The bottle is simple and pretty; in a clear, unbranded glass with a silver mesh ribbon tied to the bottle neck. The juice, simple and pleasant. It’s joyful, inspiring, summery and ladylike. The scent is polished and pure and smells like a gorgeous spring garden with fresh magnolia blooms. It’s floral but without the sickening candy-sweet scent that is often associated with floral fragrances. La Vie est Belle L’eau opens with top notes of Almond and Magnolia Essence. Magnolia being one of the first flowers to bloom in the Spring, and also the symbol of new beginnings. Other notes that make up this light gourmand fragrance include Iris Pallida, White Flowers Absolute and Patchouli Essence. Floral scents are not my fave, but I don’t mind wearing this one. It’s pleasant and pretty, and if you do lean toward more floral scents, definitely give this one a sniff next time you’re browsing for a…

I love this time of year, such exciting makeup launches heading our way! One of these is Lancome Artliner 24H – a bold, intense, not to mention vibrant new liquid liner! Seriously shocking lids are all the rage on the runway and you can get these looks like a pro with the help of this little guy! Lancome Artliner 24H launches locally this month, and will be available in three of the seasons hottest shades; Turquoise, Sapphire and Jade. They offer vibrant colour with a metallic sparkle that catches the light beautifully. I got to sample the Turquoise one, such a hot colour, but I’m really digging the Sapphire! The colour payoff is pretty impressive and the soft “flocked” applicator makes it easy to define your lids, whether you’re trying to create thick, solid lines or super thin slicks of colour. Made in Germany, this liquid liner wears really well! It’s smudge and water proof, so a great summer liner indeed! SHOP! Get your’s right now! South Africa: Only available at Lancome counters International:  Turquoise, Sapphire, Jade [signature]

Black Magic! That’s what Magie Noire means in French! A beautiful fragrance with surprisingly long lasting power, considering it’s an Eau de Toilete spray!

Check out these fab face masks I’m loving right now – tried, tested and loved of course! My skincare routine is pretty simple; I cleanse, moisturise and then load up on sun screen. I tend to avoid toners as my cleanser already does a great job at light exfoliating, so there is no need for me to use a toner as well. Every week, I also like to give my skin a little treat, in the form of an exfolation, cleansing peel or a masque. These are the three masques that are sitting in my bathroom right now… To scroll through my selection, click on the black arrow to the right to navigate through my top three…

In today’s Fragrance Friday we’re giving you a double dose of HYPNÔSE with Lancôme‘s magnificent HYPNÔSE fragrance and HYPNÔSE Drama mascara… HYPNÔSE Eau de Parfum If you’re into sweet, sensual scents you will love HYPNÔSE by Lancome, a truly scent-captivating fragrance. A little spray goes a long, long way so you can ensure that you will keep your captivating scent all day long! It’s one of those scents that smells better when you spray a little bit rather than emptying the bottle in one go. Structured with top notes of Passion Flower and base notes of Vetiver, with the heart centered around Vanilla. It’s slightly oriental, but not too rich and spicy. The purple fragrance is housed inside a gorgeous faceted bottle that happens to be the reinterpretation of Lancôme’s 1950 fragrance, Magie. HYPNÔSE Eau de Parfum comes in two sizes; a 30ml bottle for R560 and a 50ml bottle which costs R795, both last forever considering how little you need! HYPNÔSE Drama Mascara I’ve been using this mascara non stop since I got it! I do have quite a collection of mascara’s and generally use different ones every day, but this one has been my number one choice for about two weeks in…
