I’m counting down the days to celebration season! And, what better way to bid au revoir to 2013 and bonjour to 2014, than with a glass make that a bottle of 2003 Scintilla, J.C Le Roux’s award winning bubbly, created in the signature Cap Classique style (Méthode Cap Classique). So, although Scintilla is not technically “champagne” – since anything that isn’t made in Champagne France can’t really be called champagne – the production process of J.C Le Roux’s Méthode Cap Classique’s follows the same style that the French folk use when the make Champagne. In other words Scintilla, it’s not simply carbonated wine. It sparkling personality is earned, through years and years of perfection in a bottle! It’s amazing! Totally delicious, classy and ultra-sophisticated! Scintilla is made with a blend of 75%Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir. The two wines have spent seven years on the lees, which is the result of Scintilla’s smooth character, complex flavour and superior taste. Class my dears, class! My preference in bubbly is usually on the sweeter side! But, when it comes to the real deal (Champagne or  Méthode Cap Classique for example), then I prefer it a little more crisp with a dry palette that is well balanced. I will defs be celebrating the…

My obsession with Christian Louboutin doesn’t end at the feet! I love, and have always wanted to try out the infamous “Louboutin Mani” made famous, probably by Adele. This is by no means a “new” nail trend, however, I’ve put a little spin on my Louboutin Manicure. I have a pair of nude, Christian Louboutin patent leather pumps (the Bianca), so instead of going for black nails with red “bottoms”, I wanted to try match my Louboutin mani to my Louboutin pumps… I went to see my bestest Jo-D, who is an absolute nail genius, told her what I wanted and this was her interpretation. If you ask me, she nailed it and matched the colour to the T! When my friend Kelly saw my nails the other day, without even seeing the sneaky flash of red underneath, she instantly said “your nails look just like your shoes”.  When I flipped my hand over, she was really impressed. Of course, my natural nail is nowhere near this length and my “normal shape” is square. So, Jo-D hooked me up with Brisa Sculpt – another product I had been itching to try on all my nails, and created a more almond shape. To perfect the…

I have wanted a pair of Louboutins for the longest time! I’ve had an abnormal fixation with them since the first time I saw them – the little red sole just speaks to my soul! It always has and it always will. Sadly for me, Louboutins on a bloggers budget… exactly not likely to happen! But oh, it did! Thanks to J.C Le Roux! To launch their pink La Fleurette Non-Alcoholic bubbly, J.C Le Roux sent me as well as ten other bloggers, a press pack that came with a challenge… to create a post that would express how we’d live #LeGoodLife. The prize… a pair of Louboutins that we’d get to pick out (within a certain price range). I knew I had to win! I had to! I had to! I had to! And, luckily for me I did! When I submitted my entry I was holding thumbs and praying to the red-sole-shoe-gods every night, because all the blogs that were created were amazing! When I got the message to say that I had won, I literally screamed like a wile animal! We were out in the bush on a little African getaway – with no cellphone reception for three days! The same week that J.C Le…

Ahh the joys walking in famous shoes. No matter what, there is always someone trying to trash your name. This time the trashing has to do with Uyanda Mbuli, well know South African Socialite and owner of local fashion brand DFC. Now, we all know Uyanda loves her shoes and has even nicknamed herself a “shoeshonista”.  She’s also a huge fan, and a collector of fabulous shoes, including Jimmy Choo’s and my personal favourites, Christian Louboutin. So why then are certain “New York Fashionista’s ” hammering Uyanda for wearing fakes” ? It seems that its purely because they dont know the difference between an  authentic pair and a fake. According to an article published in the Sunday World in early Feb, a certain “Louboutin employee” who works at “a designer mall SAKS Fifth Avenue” in New York called the Sunday World to say that Uyanda’s Lady Peep Spikes she wore to the J&B Met were fake. The reason? Because “SAKS don”t sell them”! Well, news flash! Just because SAKS doesnt sell something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist! On another note, why would a “Louboutin employee” be working at SAKS? This “expert” is just a SAKS employee selling Louboutins – ahh,…
