The Street AND I + How To Video on the YSL Spring 2017 Makeup Collection

Inspired by the streets and music; from downtown LA to the streets of Paris, YSL’s new makeup collection for Spring 2017 is all about the bright city lights. A stand out makeup collection, designed to bring out your inner urban artist. While certainly bold, this collection is incredibly wearable! To show you just how wearable it is, I’ve loaded a video up on my Youtube channel where I’m talking you through a full colour look that you can create for day or night. All the colour for this look has been created with only these two products; the limited edition The Street and I eyeshadow palette and the genius Kiss & Blush Duo Stick.

CHANEL Makeup Collection Superstition for Autumn/ Fall 2013

CHANEL Makeup Collection Superstition for Autumn/ Fall 2013

Ladies, brace yourselves for Chanel’s new autumn makeup collection, Collection Superstition that launches in South Africa on the 16th August! Gabrielle Chanel believed in luck. Her private world was filled with talismans, which served both as good-luck charms and sources of inspiration. The Autumn 2013 Collection reinterprets superstition with a playful and surrealist spirit. Mixing sumptuous tones of bronze, taupe and khaki with the magic of a golden beige, intense pink or burgundy palette, like a joyful prediction of beauty. I got to play around with some of the makeup, and as always, I am in love! CHANEL makeup never seems to disappoint! Their products are such high quality and totally worth the splurge! The LES 4 OMBRES MYSTÈRE quad is gorgeous! It has both muted and slightly shimmered shades that can be used in many different combinations. The black shade (top left) has a gorgeous undertone of golden sparkle, as does the golden ivory next to it. The colours below include two shades of Khaki and are lovely. As with all Chanel Eye shadows, they are super high quality, highly pigmented and there is no fall out, so you don’t waste a single speckle! The single eye shadows, Ombre Essentielle are available in…

A Look at the Chanel 2013 Summer Makeup Collection

A Look at the Chanel 2013 Summer Makeup Collection

As if you didn’t know it already, I’m a huge fan of Chanel Makeup! On the 21st June 2013, their latest, (limited edition) makeup collection L’ÉTÉ PAPILLON DE CHANEL will hit Chanel counters nationwide! The colourful collection has been inspired by butterfly wings. Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, Peter Phillips used the most vibrant hues to compose a poetic beauty look that combines energy, playfulness and the carefree feel of summer! Such beautiful colours that will brighten up any mood, but keeping it classy and fabulous, in true Chanel spirit! To me, Chanel Makeup is the crème de la crème of cosmetics! I’ve never once been disappointed by any of their makeup. Their eye shadow palettes, although a little pricey, are the best quality! They are all highly pigmented with true colour. But, besides all that, there is zero fall out – at all! Which means you use every last speckle of eye shadow on your eye lids, and not let it go to waste by falling out. Les 4 Ombres in “Seduction” has the prettiest shades, that will look good on just about any eye colour! I absolutely love the purpley-pink (top left). This palette is so versatile, and just by wetting your brush before hand,…

Chanel Les Scintillances de Chanel Holiday Collection

Chanel Les Scintillances de Chanel Holiday Collection

Oh, how I love Christmas. All the beautiful goodies coming from all my favourite cosmetic houses. And this one from Chanel has got to be one of my faves. I’ve always loved Chanel makeup and think of it as my “treat makeup”, so when I got to test drive some of the new goodies in the 2011 Christmas collection, I was over the moon! This collection is a symphony of red, gold and light. Majestic and refined. Gold adds a sumptuous touch to delightful festivities. Beautiful eye shadows, sparkling powers (my fave of the lot), ivory, black, golden beige and red are at the forefront of this collection. Creative Director of CHANEL makeup Peter Phillips, used all the iconic colours of the house of CHANEL and I think Coco would be proud. In fact, Coco Chanel is very much part of this collection. Other than the name of course, the shimmer powder, LUMIÈRE SCULPTÉE DE CHANEL was inspired by a photo of a belt buckle that the Mademoiselle herself wore in the 1930’s. How cool is that? And how amazing does it look? I’m almost too scared to use the powder in the fear of ruining it’s exquisite design. But…

Guerlain’s Christmas Look – Sneak Peek

Guerlain’s Christmas Look – Sneak Peek

November sees the launch of the beautiful Guerlain Christmas Look. A collection inspired by a midnight blue colour, like a night full of stars… The inspiration started with a name, a symbol of the fragrance house… the Perfume Vol De Nuit. Beautifully packaged, the perfume leaves a luminous stardust on your skin, punctuating it with blue-green and silvery pearlescent flashes. It can be used on the hair as well, to leave you sparkling all over for Christmas…. I have’nt smelt it yet, but just take a look at the packaging! It’s to die for! As soon as it launches, I will definitely go check it out. I did get to try some of the goodies in the collection though… The Perles De Nuit – Guerlain’s Meteorites powder pearls. I’m actually wearing this today and I absolutely love it. Each pearl is coated in a different shade and when you mix them together, you get the most magnificent, luminous powder finish that looks natural and glowing! They look just like my mom’s pearls! The five shades are created to help correct your skin tone as well as make it look perfectly radiant. Pink will capture light, white will illuminate your complexion,…
