Shop it Now! The Bomber Jacket

Shop it Now! The Bomber Jacket

I’m still loving my floral bomber jacket, which I bought 2 years ago, and I’m glad to see that this trend is still going strong! So strong in fact, that according to Google’s Fashion Trend Report for 2016, in April, searches for bomber jackets were up by 297% YoY (year-after-year growth) in the UK and 612% YoY in the US. So, if you don’t already own a stylish bomber jacket, you better get cracking! Today, I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite options that you can find right now! My personal favourite bomber jacket style is one that is silky, giving it a feminine touch, but I do also love beautiful prints (especially florals) and unique embroidery designs.

A Shoulder to Try On

A Shoulder to Try On

How cute is the off shoulder trend for summer? My favourite way to wear this trend is opting for a flowy, oversized off the shoulder top worn with cute denim cut offs or skinny jeans. It’s such a great, easy breezy look for warmer weather. Wear it two ways… Check out some of my fave in store picks, right now on how to nail this trend, whether you want to expose bare shoulders, or just show some skin…

Mango Opens in Durban, TONIGHT!

Mango Opens in Durban, TONIGHT!

I’m so excited that South Africa, and more specifically, my hometown of Durban, is welcoming more and more high fashion brands! MANGO, the Spanish-born brand who have collaborated with external designers and celebs such as Milla Jovovich, Elisabeth Hurley, as well as Penélope and Mónica Cruz, have been in South Africa for quite some time already. Cape Town and Jo’burg have surely enjoyed having this brand, and now the time has finally come for Durban! From today, Durbanites can also enjoy and indulge in a little bit of MANGO magic, with the opening of their very first Durban store at Gateway Theatre of Shopping! The store officially opens tonight (15 November 2012) at 6pm! So, if you’re in the area, pop in and check it out! MANGO will be welcoming the media to this event, as well as opening it up to the public. Loads of fun is planned, with an exclusive live set by Durban’s DJ Roxxi. The store is located downstairs, across from Woolies and if you do make it to the event and you’re part of the Twitterati , make sure to include the hashtag, #MangoSA in your tweets, to let everyone know that you were one of the very first…

Kate Moss – The New Face of Mango & 20% Reduction on Clothes

Kate Moss – The New Face of Mango & 20% Reduction on Clothes

Gotta love Kate Moss! Girl know’s how to bounce back time and time again – and now, one of the world’s most recognised supermodels is the star of Mango’s new Spring/Summer 2012 campaign. Kate embodies the type of urban, independent and bold woman that MANGO wants to dress! With this collaboration, Kate Moss takes over from her predecessor, Isabeli Fontana, who was the image for the brand during the Autumn/Winter 2011 season. Since it was founded, MANGO has used celebrities to feature in its advertising campaigns. Models and actresses of the stature of Scarlett Johansson, Penélope Cruz, Milla Jovovich, Lizzy Jagger, Karolina Kurkova, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Inés Sastre, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington and Diane Kruger have also been images for the brand at various times. And in other news, MANGO will be reducing it’s prices by 20 percent in order to adapt to the new global economic situation. That’s huge and and great news for us! The new pricing strategy will come into effect with the launch of the Spring Summer 2012 Collection in SA stores in July 2012. Here are some of the new, lower priced items you can enjoy… Thank you Mango!
