Perfect Summer Prints from Old Khaki

Perfect Summer Prints from Old Khaki

I am obsessed with prints lately! I don’t know if it’s just me, or if the prints these days are just speaking my kinda lingo! More tribal, less floral? Either way, I’m loving it! I am so over winter, and I can’t wait for warmer weather. I’ve already started seeking out my summer wardrobe and found such great pieces the other day at Old Khaki! Two great pieces that are fab for summer! These two are perfect for your spring-into-sumer wardrobe too, since the fabric is lightweight, making them great layering pieces! The one thing you NEED in your summer wardrobe is a gorgeous printed maxi skirt. The Reine Printed Maxi Skirt from Old Khaki ticks all the boxes for me. Gorgeous print – check! Perfect fit – check! Easy pockets – check! Perfect length – check! Elasticated waist band – check! Flowy fabric – check! Check, check, check! This skirt is everything! Because it’s made from rayon (viscose), it hangs perfectly on the body! It can be used as a great staple to build a multitude of looks. Another great piece, is this purple Marnie Printed Cami. Again, love everything about it! This essential summer top is also made from rayon fabric, and fits perfectly! Isn’t the print gorgeous?…

The Girl in the Red Skirt

The Girl in the Red Skirt

Right now I’m obsessed with Maxi Skirts – as if you didn’t already know! I’ve been hunting high and low to find one ever since I saw Serena (AKA Blake Lively) wearing her gorgeous red, Rag and Bone skirt in the latest season of Gossip Girl. After months of searching, I eventually found one; a gorgeous red, flowy full maxi skirt from local brand Junkyard Angel. For those of you that aren’t familiar with the name, Junkyard Angel’s clothes are beyond amazing! Designed and manufactured locally in SA and sold at certain YDE outlets. This piece is called The Blake Skirt – wonder if they named it after Ms Van Der Woodsen – and retails at R499. It is made from a beautiful flowing sheer fabric and red lining and has front pockets that make it even more amazing. The fit is great and really gives the same “flow” as Serena’s skirt. I wore mine the other day with a plain white fitted tank top and my my nude, super high wooden stack Luella heels, and got compliments all round. I love clothes that are well made, fit well and make you feel like a million bucks! I think I might…

Woolies Scoop

Woolies Scoop

Well winter may be upon us, but the one great thing we can look forward to is all the fab fashion heading our way! I was at Woolies the other day scouting for ideas for my Woolies Scoop, and got completely overwhelmed by the gorgeous selection of clothing for winter, specifically their pants and maxi skirts! After spending months in dresses and shorts I wasn’t looking forward to going back to boring old pants, but as you’ll see in this post, the selection of trendy and affordable bottoms at Woolworths this season are anything but boring! Printed Leggings Printed leggings are a huge trend and offer a great alternative to plain black leggings! Pair them with brights and you’ve really got a stand out outfit that makes a style statement! Get it: These grey houndstooth printed leggings (R225) are great for winter and offer an alternative way to wear classic houndstooth, especially if the black and white graphic print of traditional houndstooth is too much for you. These have a supportive waistband and offer enough stretch to give your legs a streamlined look. Wear it: I love how blogger Ewelyn from modishyou.blogspot.com has paired her stylish printed leggings with a bright red blazer, silky purple top and ankle…
