Bohemian Garden Party with Lucozade Pink Lemonade

Bohemian Garden Party with Lucozade Pink Lemonade

If given the chance, what would you do over in pink and with energy? To launch their delicious new flavour, Pink Lemonade, Lucozade is running an awesome competition where you could win your very own “do-over”. All you have to do is purchase a 500ml bottle of Lucozade Pink Lemonade,  SMS the underliner code and include your “Do Over” 33585. If I had the chance to do something over, #DoItWithPink and #DoItWithEnergy, I would totally do over my bridal shower. Not that I didn’t love being surrounded by my best friends and family, but in terms of a totally awesome “themed” shower – I’d have loved a little 70’s style bohemian garden party! One that starts at noon and goes well into the night. For that, we’ll need lots of energy, so there will be plenty of Lucozade Pink Lemonade on offer. When I got married, there was no Pinterest, so giving your bridesmaids a mood board filled with ideas on what you’d like wasn’t really an option. Back then, it was just your standard bridal shower with pink feather boa’s, afternoon “tea” and for the ones who survived the fun and games – a girls night out at some club. The club part was never…

Army Green Military Trench

Army Green Military Trench

I have a new obsession with trenches lately! They are such easy pieces that you can just throw on to instantly upgrade your look and make it more polished. Right now I’m loving this Lightweight, Green Epaulette Coat from SheIn – my new fave online shopping destination. As we say goodbye (and good riddance) to winter and hello to Spring, this trench will probably become my new BFF! I can picture a cute summer look with a little white tee, denim cut offs and gladiator sandals or even Converse… Hmmm! Yesterday, in Jozi we got to experience a little taste of warmer weather, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear this coat to an exciting fragrance launch (more on that soon). My look started with a hat, but quickly changed thanks to the wind deciding it was a no go (hence all the face touching in my pics). I am glad though, that I got at least one shot with the hat, because I love how it makes this look more wintery. I also really love the flap detail at the back of the coat, and the subtle hint of epaulettes on the shoulder which give it that military feel. Oh, it’s also got built in shoulder pads, which are perfecto…

Sweater Weather Faves – The Fringed Knit

Sweater Weather Faves – The Fringed Knit

Yay for sweater weather! Hands up if you’re as excited to bundle up in cozy knits as I am! And if you’re throwing your arms up in the air, what better way to do it than in this gorgeous, cozy knit “Precious Sweater” from Old Khaki? Just look at that fringe! I am obsessed! Since most knitted sweaters look a little boxy (on me at least), I found that the best way to balance it out, is to layer it over a pretty collard shirt worn with skinny jeans – perhaps even add a statement necklace to the mix. I wore my Precious Sweater the other day with a light wash denim shirt, dark wash skinny jeans, tan boots and it made for a perfect, pulled together winter look. Today, I went for a more muted palette, and paired my Precious Sweater with an extra long, viscose beige shirt, black leggings and my lived in Minnetonka Tramper boots. Then just stacked a few simple bracelets. I love the different textures of this knit. It gives it such a cozy, fluffy and beautiful effect, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that it was the fringe that totally stole my heart! Get your Precious Knit from Old Khaki now (R499). I.…

Tan & Grey Outfit

Tan & Grey Outfit

I think this tan fringed cardigan might be one of my favourite purchases this winter. Besides being soft, cozy and very versatile, it will be a great transitional piece that I’m sure I will get lots of wear in Spring… I know, I’m counting down the days to warmer weather already! I love the mix of orange and grey colours, the amazing tribal print at the back, and of course the fringe details! I layered it over an all grey outfit, pulling out some of my old closet favourites like this grey tee shirt, grey skinny jeans and my over the knee boots. I finished the look off with my favourite bag ever, my Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body Bag – probably my best purchase to date! Outfit Details Tassel Cardigan from Sheinside (on sale) Grey T-shirt – Gap (old) Grey Skinny Jeans – Zara (old) Over the Knee Boots – Luella (old) Handbag – Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body Bag. Also love this colour Sunglasses – Prada. Also love these Happy Friday lovelies xx

Lightweight Trench – ootd

Lightweight Trench – ootd

I’m all for timeless pieces; a nude, double breasted trench, denim shirts, Hunter Boots, beautifully structured handbags and stylish sunglasses. And this is one of my favourite ways to put the whole look together! This lightweight apricot trench will be such a staple for Spring, but I couldn’t wait to wear it now! I usually wear an 8/small, but decided go get this one in a Medium, since I knew that I would be wearing it over something. I actually wish I had gone for the Large, just to give my arms more space when I wear it with something like my denim shirt. But nonetheless, I love it! I love how many different style options this lightweight trench offers, and although it’s not as thick or wintery as a classic trench, it’s still a great piece that offers the same, endless styling options. Like tying the belt at the back for example, which allows me to wear it open, but still ensuring that my outfit has a nice silhouette. Shop my Outfit Lightweight Trench Coat from Sheinside. It’s on SALE NOW 🙂 Levis Western Shirt – similar style here GAP Skinny Jeans Tumi Sinclair Stella Handbag – beige one here Hunter Boots. How cool are these? Lucky…

Shades of Grey #ootd

Shades of Grey #ootd

The winter chill is upon us, and all I want is to stay warm and fluffy all day long! Lately I’ve been living in my Riveria Edge to Edge longer length grey cardi from Old Khaki. It’s the softest, most snuggle worthy item of clothing I own and it goes with pretty much everything. Speaking of snuggle worthy, I’m also mildly obsessed with these cable knit fingerless gloves and my pom pom beanie (and I’ve still got my eye on this one). Outfit Details Grey, longer length cardi – Old Khaki (get it online here) Striped tee – Cotton On Fingerless gloves – Old Khaki (get them online here) Pom Pom beanie – Cotton On. Similar style here from Old Khaki Necklace – Lucky Brand Jeans – Luck Brand Leather Riding Boots – Tsonga Mug (my favourite) from Anthropologie

Weekend Uniform – Distressed Stripes #OOTD

Weekend Uniform – Distressed Stripes #OOTD

I’ve never met a striped tee I didn’t like. I guess you could say, I have a bit of an obsession when it comes to anything striped. You can never have too much. Especially like this really different striped tee, that I picked up from Old Khaki the other day… It’s the perfect mix of stripe, but with an edge. And I can bet, you don’t have anything like it in your collection? What makes the Lanah Tee different, is that the white has this really cool, distressed kinda effect going on. I paired mine with a green parka (I bought this one last year, but there’s a similar style here with a faux fur hoodie – ohh), blue Lucky Brand jeans, my trusty Converse high tops and a bling necklace. It was a little colder in morning, so I thought it the perfect opportunity to wear my super cute beanie with a huge, faux fur pom-pom. Fun Fair! #OOTD

Fun Fair! #OOTD

How did you all enjoy the long weekend? I’m looking forward to another one – it feels like Christmas haha! I hadn’t been to Lusito Land in years, so this weekend, we decided to give it a go! What a great day, full of fun with the fam-dam! I was really looking forward to enjoying some Portuguese Farturas, but the line was insanely long! I feel I need to go back and get me some! The last time I went to Lusito Land, I remember I froze my butt off, so thought my new Winter Cape/ Poncho would be the perfect thing to take along! It’s so warm and with all those colours, it looks great with pretty much anything! Hope you enjoy my weekend snaps and OOTD post… Hubby’s Wearing: Balmain T-Shirt, Tommy Hilfiger Jeans, Prada Sunglasses & Converse I’m wearing: Asymmetrical Cape from Sheinside (on sale now), Lucky Brand Sofia Skinny Jeans, Tsonga Riding Boots, Old Khaki Hoodie (here) and my fabulous new Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Love Crossbody bag. The Cold is Coming #OOTD

The Cold is Coming #OOTD

Slowly but surely, winter is creeping up on us, and I’m excited for a change of clothing scenery! This weekend, when the temperature dropped (and the rain came out to play), I thought it was the perfect opportunity to wear my new Puffer jacket. I’d been looking for a black, coat style puffer jacket for ages. So when I spotted this beaut at Old Khaki, I just had to have it! I love the gold hardware (zip and press buttons) and that the zip zips both ways. But I really love the detachable faux fur hoodie. Most puffer jackets can make you look, well, puffy, but this one has a clever little drawstring tie at the back that cinches in the waist to give you a nice, feminine silhouette. Such an investment piece that I know I’ll get tons of wear out of! Outfit Details Puffer Jacket – The Ivanah from Old Khaki (R1299) Rain Boots – Hunter Leggings – Cotton On There’s a couple more things from Old Khaki that I still have my eye on. 4 Ways to Wear Printed Joggers

4 Ways to Wear Printed Joggers

I love joggers, and gals, they aren’t going anywhere soon, so instead of fearing them, I’m (hopefully) going to show you how to embrace them. I found the cutest pair of floral Joggers at Old Khaki, and being such a versatile item, I could immediately pair them up with what I already had in my closet. So, today I’m sharing 3 looks plus one outfit image to show you how I’d style these joggers. Let me know which one is your fave…. 1. Smarty Pants Joggers can work as part of a smarter ensemble when worn correctly. The hardest thing about styling joggers is trying to make your outfit look like an outfit and not like you’re wearing your PJ’s. One of the key things to remember, is to try and and bring in as much structure with your other pieces, to balance it out. So, while joggers are casual, make sure you pair them up with smarter tops, bags, shoes and accessories. Flip flops are a no-no, also avoid sneakers and ballet flats (unless they are nude, in which case you could get away with it). For this look, I paired my Old Khaki joggers with a crisp white…

Forever New, Cote d’Azur Summer Collection

Forever New, Cote d’Azur Summer Collection

[tps_header] The Forever New Cote d’Azur collection launched in stores this week and let me tell you gals, it’s probably my favourite Forever New collection to date. It’s got all the elements of elegance, refined style and glamour without being overly racy or too seductive. Think Hollywood’s golden era, redefined in classic, modern day silhouettes with playful prints and very ladylike finishes. Midi skirts, lace, crop tops, soft fabrics and scallop details. The collection was inspired by the beautiful blue Azure waters that reflect the golden sunshine, so the prominent colours for this collection are buttercup yellow, porcelain white and Mediterranean blue. I popped into store to check it out and it’s such a beautiful collection, with very versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched to create show stopping looks for any occasion. To give you gals some inspiration behind the collection, I put together three looks for three different occasions… Off Duty Ladylike I fell hopelessly in love with this gorgeous buttercup skirt. It has the power to make you feel like a Hollywood starlet. This look is the perfect little day outfit for high tea with the girls, or lunching with your man on the weekends. Soft,…

Free Spirited

I’m so into boho at the moment, it’s become my new favourite way of dressing. Boho is all about pretty florals, lace accents, distressed denim, layers of jewellery, pom poms, beautiful blues/ turquoise, tassels and a big ol’ summer hat. All you need is bronzed skin, nude sandals, a pair of Ray-Ban’s and the beach! I found T-H-E absolute cutest little boho inspired blouse that I picked up for a song at the Old Khaki sale! It’s the perfect little bohemian summer top that can still be worn in Autumn – if you’re like me and thinking about next season already. It’s got just the right amount of lace and a gorgeous print, and it’s lose and comfy to wear all day. Plus its blue, so I just couldn’t resist it! I usually wear a size 8 at Old Khaki, but found that the 8 in this style was a bit too big, so I got a size down to a 6 and it’s a perfect fit! Just something to keep in mind if you decide to shop this gorgeous top online. You know Old Khaki offers free delivery to anywhere in South Africa via their online shop?! You can still get your hands on the Emilly…
