Imagine that! A black face cream! I love Filorga! Not only have all their products (that I’ve tried) blown me away, but they are such an innovative brand that always come up with mind blowing and skin loving products. April sees the launch of two new BB innovations from Garnier. Just when you thought you’d seen enough BB creams on the market, new, tailor-made solutions are making their way, allowing you to get products that have been fine tuned for your individual skin needs. Personally, I really like BB creams. I like to use them instead of moisturizer, and because, when layered with foundation, they really do make my skin look more flawless. Garnier launched their first BB cream, Miracle Skin Perfector a while ago, and they’ve just come out with a new “version” that combines their BB cream with PureActive; their Acne range, to help hide and correct imperfections. BB Cream Pure Active contains the same mineral pigments as Garnier’s original BB cream, as well as 2% Salicylic Acid to help treat imperfections. It feels great on the skin, and really helps to reduce the size of your pores, which I like! While I found that I still needed to conceal my imperfections, it does a pretty decent job of lightening discolouration to make things much, much easier. Blogging for five years (going on six) has taught me many things. One being, that no matter how expensive or how amazing the makeup, if your skin looks like crap, well, your makeup probably will too! Thankfully we live in an era where skincare-skincare-skincare has been drummed into our brains, much like that annoying “next customer please” announcement at Woolies. Filorga Cleanser With Cell Extracts This is a really fantastic cleanser and doesn’t require any water. So if you suffer with sensitive skin, then this might be for you! To apply, all you need to do is put a small amount of product on a cotton disk and work it over your face. No rinsing necessary! Use another, clean cotton disk to remove any product that’s left over. You could also soak the cotton bud in Filorga’s Toning Lotion if you like that squeaky clean feeling. It leaves your face feeling moisturized straight after cleansing – which I like. In the past month or two I’ve been for two facials, and both times the therapists pointed out that my skin was a little dry. To be honest, I did’nt notice it too much, but after using OptiPhi‘s new Moisture Control Ultra Rich Repairing Moisturiser for over a week, I can definitely see a huge difference. My makeup seems to last a lot longer (and I haven’t changed my foundation). My skin also looks much healthier with a younger glow. It feels fabulous and I think I’m now hooked on this moisturizer.
