You guys know how much I love a good road trip and I’ve always said that road tripping is part of the holiday fun. Being in South Africa, we are really spoilt with an amazing road tripping landscape, where (most of the time), we have access to pretty decent roads to travel long and far!

Limpopo being one of my favourite road trip destinations!

The other day, we drove past the beautiful Turkish Mosque in Midrand and it looked so pretty on the outside, we decided to take a chance and see if could go inside. What we discovered was even more magnificent than we could have ever imagined! It was like we had stepped into a whole new world!

Safari’s out in Africa are my favourite! I am a total bush baby and would quite easily trade a tropical paradise getaway for some bush time!

Having gone on a few epic Safari’s, I’ve learnt a lot that has helped me “get ready” for the next one! -October I’m counting down the days-.

Every time I travel, I always write a list of things to remember! Things like “bring extra mozzi spray – you will need it” and “don’t forget to pack a pair of boots next time” help when I’m packing or planning my next trip.

In this case, my next safari!

I recently had a lovely little break in my old city, Durban. While I was there, soaking in the winter sunshine – (yep, like true Joburger’s we spent most of our time at the beach – in winter noggal) – it reminded me of how amazing Durbs is. Having lived there for 10 years as a local, I had forgotten what made Durban such a gem! Granted, when you live somewhere, going on holiday to the same place is a totally different experience. So, it was nice to Do Durban firstly as an adult (without parents on holiday, where you can do your own thing) and secondly as a holiday maker with nothing on the agenda. If you find yourself in Durbs, here’s my little travel guide on what you should include on your holiday fun… DO: The Beach Of course! Durban has the best beaches in South Africa, and I’m not just saying that because I used to live there! While I wont deny that Cape Town has beautiful beaches, the freezing Atlantic Ocean on that side of the country (plus the wind almost all the dang time) kinda puts me off going to the beach in Cape Town.…

People often complain that Jozi is the concrete jungle and besides going out to dinner, there isn’t much to do in Gauteng. Sure we’re not blessed with sandy beaches, but blue skies, wonderful waters and outdoor adventures are all around us! You just have to step out of your suit and tie every once in a while to experience all the glory that Gauteng has to offer! If you’ve never made the trip up the Hartbeespoort Cableway, do yourself a favour and tick this mesmerizing must-see adventure off your bucket list! I promise you, you will not regret it!

Going to see the Jacarandas in full bloom in Cullinan has been something I’ve wanted to do for ages. Last year, we attempted to go and see them, but I think we might have been a bit too late as they had already finished blooming in November. This year though, I wasn’t about to let them get away from me.

Good morning gals! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Summer is on the way, which means I’m in high spirits. Bring on the heat! For today’s post, I’m doing something a little different… Showing you a quick sneak peek at the pretty, colourful streets of Bo-Kaap in Cape Town.

Last weekend was one of the best we’ve had in ages. In March, we celebrated our 8-year wedding anniversary and I really wanted to do something special, so we headed out to “the country” for a romantic weekend getaway at the beautiful Kievits Kroon Country Estate in Pretoria. This 16-hectare estate is a true gem! It’s like being in the beautiful Cape Winelands, without venturing too far from home. Well, if your home is in jozi that is! Lush and tranquil, Kievits Kroon is a country escape that has everything you need to relax, unwind and enjoy life’s little pleasures. From the moment you enter the estate, Manor Lane greets you a with a breathtaking pathway lined with the most beautiful setting of trees. As you drive through the estate, you cant help but appreciate all the picture perfect scenery that awaits. We took advantage of the surroundings and snapped some pics of my new trench coat which I love, but for today, I want to tell you all about our stay, and I’ll share the style post with you tomorrow. We checked into our VIP Suite on Friday afternoon and spent some time exploring and admiring the grounds before our dinner reservation at the Granita Restaurant. What I absolutely love about Kievits Kroon’s accommodation,…

I am 100%, a city girl! But I do like to day dream about how awesome it must be to live on a farm and ya know, do the whole Country Girl thing… If you’re looking for something a little different, relaxing and outdoorsy to do this weekend, you may just enjoy a trip to Irene Dairy Farm in Centurion. It’s a beautiful, old-style, operational dairy farm that started way back in 1895. You can go there for a morning outing and enjoy a meal, walk around amongst the dairy cows (the white ones are massive, you won’t believe how big until you see them), say hi to the swans (there’s a beautiful black swan too), or admire old, rustic random things like the vintage petrol pump. The Dairy Shop has T-H-E most delicious Double Thick real GREEK yoghurt! And trust me when I say real! I’ve tasted the Greek Yoghurt in Greece and nothing has even come close until now. Granted, it’s pricey as heck, but absolutely worth every mouth watering spoonful. Their bottled milkshakes and goats cheese Feta are pretty amazing too! If you’re planning on having breakfast or lunch, there are two restaurants to choose from. We tried…

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend? I spent my Sunday in style, at the BMW Polo at the Waterfall Estate in Jozi. It was such a perfect day to be outdoors. Summer is definitely here! I didn’t realize how exciting a Polo match could be. We were treated to great game of magnificent Polo where SA beat USA in a really exciting match that had everyone (myself included) screaming and cheering on the sidelines. Since it was a BMW event, I thought I’d dress the part with a blue and white dress! Thankfully Accessorize helped me “accessorize my look” with a gorgeous, much needed wide brim hat and a totes cute sailor style bag. I snapped some outfit pics and a couple of action shots from yesterday’s fun. Hope you enjoy…
