TOPSHOP opened their new store-in-store at Edgars Rosebank Mall yesterday, and I went to check it out! The store is a lot bigger than I had expected. While it can’t be compared to a TOPSHOP flagship (like Sandton, Menlyn, Gateway, V&A or Canal Walk), TOPSHOP Rosebank has a fabulous selection of their current range. They also have friendly, vibey staff who get excited about the range and enjoy the clothes as much as we do! The variety on offer is pretty wide. From fabulous party dresses (if you’re planning your NYE outfits), to cute little festival outfits, everyday stylish clothes, swimsuits and jeans. You definitely won’t want to leave empty handed! They also have a small, but decent selection of the seasons’ must have handbags, footwear, sunglasses and (my fave) hats on offer. Overall, this space is crisp, clean and perhaps because it doesn’t carry the full range as a TOPSHOP flagship, I could get a closer look at the hottest season’s clothes instead of being overwhelmed with too many options. Don’t get me wrong, I love variety, but even more so, I like “space” to be able to see what’s on offer. A couple of things on my list….…

Last week was a full week of fashion festivities! One of them being the launch of Topshop’s New In Collection showcase! I loved the entire collection! It’s so free spirited and stylish! Of all the looks, the little festival style outfit with the floral top and lace shorts had to be my fave. I’m also obsessed with the little white pleated skirt, the blue capri pants and those killer blue heels. Oh, and can we just take a moment to admire how cute that slogan tee is… I mean, what’s so hard about rocket science anyway? We’re so excited to finally welcome one of London’s trend setting clothing brands, Topshop and Topman to South Africa! They’ve recently opened a store in Sandton and now, Durban’s Gateway Theater of Shopping plays home to the second TOPSHOP store in South Africa. Always first with the trends and shopping scoop, StyleScoop was there to bring you an inside look at this amazing new chain. It opened officially on Saturday, 14th December at 10am, but the media got to enjoy a sneak peek one hour before the official launch, complete with yummy muffins, coffee and early morning treats from another Gateway hotspot, Tasha’s! Take a look a some stylish pieces we scooped… As you can see, lots and lots of trendy studs and leopard prints! I actually need to make a second trip to TopShop to see what else there is on offer. I was most impressed with the selection and found myself running around from section to section snapping up all the exciting pieces. When ZARA opened it’s doors in South Africa – and I believe it’s hitting Cape Town next month- fashionista’s breathed a sigh of relief – no more having to shop on holiday to get our “international trend fix”! Well, now there is even more reason to get excited because TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will be available in SA too! Let’s hope H&M is next on the list… TOPSHOP, TOPMAN and Unknown Union have partnered to launch a Pop-up-Shop on the first floor of Unknown Union’s iconic store currently trading on Kloof Street, Cape Town! Pencil this one in your diaries, Uknown Union will be opening on July 12th, 2012. The dedicated Topman/Topshop “shop-in-shop” will feature a curated selection of the men’s and women’s fashions that have made both Topman and Topshop synonymous with style and quality at remarkably good value.
