Hi There

La Mer – The Concentrate

La Mer – The Concentrate

Compliment great skin with La Mer The Concentrate. This product helps your skin’s natural healing process and is ideal to reduce the appearance of scars and generally help fragile skin renew. It was inspired by La Mer founder Dr. Max Huber on his quest to diminish the appearance of his own scars, following a laboratory accident. So you know that La Mer works! Going into summer, La Mer The Concentrate is perfect to help combat any dryness caused by our harsh winter climates. It is also designed to improve your skin’s tone and texture as well as reduce redness and irritation. On the skin, this serum-like product feels luxuriously fabulous. I love using it as a primer before makeup application as well, your foundation looks flawless and melts into the skin. Complimenting the existing 50ml product, next month sees the launch of the 30ml version. The 50ml Concentrate costs R4 200, while the 30ml version will be available for R2 500. Giving you a chance to try out the product without spending so much on the full version. Usage To complement skin’s natural healing process and improve the appearance of scars, apply and thoroughly massage The Concentrate into the skin at least…

Three Mascaras We’re Loving Right Now

Three Mascaras We’re Loving Right Now

We’re always on the hunt for new mascaras that will make our eyes pop and give us luxe lashes. And while there are many fabulous mascara on the market, we’ve found these three that are super hot right now. Chanel Sublime De Chanel 10 This is my new everyday mascara of choice. It’s waterproof and gives my lashes length and a nice curl without crumbling. When I removed brush to use it for the first time, I thought it had dried up as it doesn’t have the usual “coated” look most mascara’s do. In fact, I can see every bristle clearly on the brush. However, once I started applying to my lashes, it coated each lash with a super shiny texture and gave my lashes a nice curl while extending them outwards. It didn’t do too much for volume at first, but after applying three layers, the volume was amped up and there was virtually no fall out. I love the brush of this mascara with its tiny, flexible teeth. It has a patent “stretch bi-injection” brush that offers dual action in a single stroke and covers lashes one by one. It’s also got 4 mini-combs that help to separate…

OptiPhi Protect the Canvas

OptiPhi Protect the Canvas

Now you all know I love OptiPhi products. They are in my opinion, the best ever skincare products and I’m totally hooked on them. They are also produced in South Africa, which makes them even better! A new product I’ve been using is the OptiPhi Protect The Canvas high protection sun screen with an SPF of 30. Created for “Fighting Photo-Aging”, this product is not only brilliant at keeping your skin protected – yes, even in winter – but I love how it feels on. It’s totally grease free and the texture is great, it even works well as a primer before foundation application. OptiPhi Protect The Canvas contains actives that: Provide broad UV protection through the use of a combination of UV filters Promote protection against DNA damage induced by UV radiation Minimize the effects of sun induced skin aging by promoting correct skin function and repair Assist with the prevention and reduction of free-radicals I’m using it daily, together with my OptiPhi Complexion Control moisturizer, which together, help protect skin that’s easily damaged by the sun. Philip Kingsley – Vented Paddle Brush

Philip Kingsley – Vented Paddle Brush

This is THE ultimate paddle brush and nothing I’ve tried so far even comes close. I love it so much, it’s even got it’s own little spot. Having long hair, I tend to lose brushes quite often, but I’m not prepared to take a chance on this one. It’s just too fabulous and costs a bit too much to forget about it. The brush feels great thanks to it’s smooth wooden handle and the vented brush head is a bliss for blow drying your hair as it lets the hot air out, so no burning those locks. Another benefit of this brush is its soft cushion with super soft pins that protect and massage the scalp. The bristles are also anti-static, which is great if you’ve got long, fine hair like mine – I could literally brush my hair 100 times as my grandma would say. Price: R500 For stockist and more information go to www.philipkingsley.co.za
