Hi There

CND Cucumber Heel Therapy

CND Cucumber Heel Therapy

I recently noticed that my heels were looking a little sad and depressed. Granted, with my feet being cooped up in boots for the past couple of months, it didn’t bother me all that much. But now that they will be exposed in summer sandals (yay), it’s about time I gave them some TLC. And I’ll let you gals in on a little secret to fabulous feet… CND Cucumber Heel therapy is an amazing, deep moisturizing “foot” treatment. I say “foot” treatment like that because although it’s made with feet in mind, you can pretty much use it on any area of the body that is really dry – like hands, elbows, knees etc. My heels weren’t like crazy cracked, but they had started to crack a bit, especially on the one foot. CND Cucumber Heel Therapy sorted them in less than a week! Now, I use this product on my feet every night after my evening bath and I have happy feet all day long! I love the smell, the luxurious texture and how friggin amazing it is! Besides the obvious, cucumber; which is known for it’s soothing, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, this product also contains a bunch of other ingredients that work wonders on your feet; Chamomilla Recutita is a natural botanical agent that soothes…

LE JOUR, LA NUIT, LE WEEKEND DE CHANEL

LE JOUR, LA NUIT, LE WEEKEND DE CHANEL

Chanel lovers brace yourselves… it’s the skincare system you’ve been waiting for… This month Chanel launches three universal products that have been designed for superwomen (like most of us out there), whose hectic lifestyle takes its toll on your skin. LE JOUR, LA NUIT and LE WEEKEND DE CHANEL are three individual products, designed to be applied at different “times”: morning, night and weekends, to get your skin in perfect balance. Each one is applied on a cleansed face, before your moisturizer, kind of like a serum. The three products are beautifully colour coded, and look amazing on your bathroom shelf. But besides that, I’ve been following this three-fold skincare routine, for just over a week and already my skin is looking so full of life and “wide-awake”. 1. Le Jour De Chanel In a white bottle, Le Jour De Chanel is a serum designed to be used in the morning. It gives your skin a lovely, smooth surface and adds a gorgeous, instant luminosity that is non greasy and non sticky. It helps to minimize pores so that you skin looks instantly more radiant. 2. La Nuit De Chanel In a black bottle, for night, Le Nuit De Chanel…

Travel Light with Palmers This Holiday Season

Travel Light with Palmers This Holiday Season

This holiday season, Palmer’s have made it easier for you to travel light, by introducing their amazing products in travel-sized options. The travel-sized products look almost identical to the full sized product, only a miniature, more compact version. I absolutely love this, and the fact that you can pop it into your travel makeup bag and take up virtually no extra space, only makes it that much better. Travel sized Palmer’s are available at Dis-Chem stores nationwide and you can enjoy a smaller, sweeter tub of Palmer’s Coco Butter Formula (30g – R15.50), or one of their 50ml cream options in either Olive Butter Formula, the Original Coco Butter Formula or Coco Butter Formula for men, for only R10 each.

New Product: REN Clarifying Toner

New Product: REN Clarifying Toner

If you’ve been following my skincare and beauty reviews on StyleScoop, you’ll know I’m not a huge fan of toners. I find that toners are often very harsh for my skin and instead of giving me radiant skin, they leave my skin feeling over sensitive, with a burning sensation. When I received a bottle of REN Clarifying Toning Lotion I almost gave the product a miss, but thought what the heck and tried it! I must say, I am most impressed with this toner and have made it part of my daily skincare routine. REN Clarifying Toning lotion is completely alcohol free and doesn’t contain any harsh, synthetic chemicals. It leaves my complexion looking refreshed, clearer and “wide awake”, just like the label says. My skin type is combination, so it tends to get oily on the T-Zone, and dry on the cheeks, chin and forehead. I found that after using REN Clarifying Toner the oilness definitely improved and it didn’t aggravate the dryness. This toning lotion (that should be used on clean skin and avoided on the eye contour area) unclogs pores and gets rid of dead skin cells. If you suffer from breakouts, this product also helps to minimize breakouts thanks…

Play with Coloured Lashes with these new Mascaras

Play with Coloured Lashes with these new Mascaras

Inglot have just launched five of the most amaze(eye)balls super pigmented, coloured mascaras… Electric Blue, Emerald Green, Purple, Navy Blue and Brown! Yum! Inglot Colour Play Mascara goes on beautifully and coats each lash with rich, vibrant colour. Today Im wearing the blue, but the green is my favourite!  The formula of this mascara lasts all day long, doesn’t smudge or clump and it’s water resistant! I used the mascara over my normal lashes and the colour came out nice and bright! However, for an even more eye-popping effect, Inglot suggests using a white eyelash primer before applying your Colour Play Mascara! I’m going to try that next! PS! If you’ve got sensative eyes, Inlgot Colour Play mascara should be safe for you to use. It’s dermatologically tested and safe for contact lenses. Get them! Inglot Colour Play Mascara’s retail at R149 each and they have a special offer running at the moment, where you can buy two for R250!

It comes with a big brush (my fave) that has millions of teeny-tiny bristles with flexible edges. The bristles are also vary in size, so you’re sure to get long, lushes, 3d lashes! Paraben Free Palmer’s

Paraben Free Palmer’s

I’m so happy, one of my fave moisturiser brands, Palmer’s with their famous Cocoa Butter Formula, have recently announced that their range is now proudly Paraben and Phthalate Free! Without going into too much detail and boring you with a Biology lesson, Parabens are chemicals that are used as preservatives in millions of beauty products; from shampoos to toothpastes, body lotions to makeup. While there have been many arguments surrounding parabens and their link to cancer – some studies say they are dangerous, others say they are not – I’d rather play it safe and avoid these wherever I can. Wouldn’t you? If you love Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula, you’ll also love their Stretch Mark Range, formulated with Bio C-Elaste, a safe and unique complex that helps to improve the skin’s elasticity , adding moisture back into the skin which could help reduce the possibility of developing stretch marks. Palmer’s Coco Butter Formula Stretch Mark range includes: Palmer’s Stretch Mark Lotion (250ml) for R47.50 Palmers Stretch Mark Cream (125g) for R47.50 Palmer’s Tummy Butter (125g) for R47.50 Palmer’s is available from Dis-Chem and Clicks stores nationwide.

The post remains on the StyleScoop website for purposes of not removing any of our previously published content I received my April Glambox the other day, and it’s filled with a fab selection of rejuvenating, moisturizing and pampering products to make your skin smile as the temperature drops… Take a look inside… Full Sized Innoxa Exhilarate Uplifting Hand Cream SPF 15 with tangerine extract & mandarin oil 15ml Pond’s Age Miracle Day Cream SPF15 50ml Dove Body Lotion Essential Nourishment 1.5ml Secret De Weil Eau de Parfum wand Sample sachet of Skin Doctors Antarctilyne Plump3 triple action skin plumper Full sized Catrice Kajal Designer Eyeliner Pencil in Chocolate Brown One product that really stood out for me was Innoxa Exhilarate Uplifting Hand Cream SPF 15. What’s so special about this cream? Well, I’ve been hunting for hand cream that has a built in SPF and was quite surprised that many of my fave body lotion brands didn’t have one. Did you know your hands are exposed to the sun, almost much as your face? Which means they age, just like your face! So many women, although fanatical about putting sunblock…

Glambox – It’s better than chocolate!

PLEASE NOTE: This subscription service is not currently in operation. The post remains on the StyleScoop website for purposes of not removing any of our previously published content You may not be a beauty blogger, beauty editor or BFF’s with the girl at the MAC counter, but you, just like every other woman out there can get your monthly fix of beauty products without breaking the bank or depleting your shoe fund! One of the perks of being a beauty blogger is getting to try out all the new products that launch. I’m a sucker for makeup and for me, its awesome to get the opportunity to try everything out and find new gems that I did’nt know existed. The average beauty junkie (yes, I’m talking to you) spends far too much money on trying to find the perfect army of beauty products; stuff that works for them and stuff they love. Yeah, sure you want to try that fabulous long lasting lipstick I told you about on StyleScoop, but do you really want to fork out for the full product, only to find out that while it may have looked fab on my olive skin, that it really doesn’t…

Foundation Perfection – Chanel Perfection Lumiere

Foundation Perfection – Chanel Perfection Lumiere

I love Chanel foundations and was really lucky to try out the new Perfection Lumiere. It’s a gorgeous foundation that melts into your skin, offering light to medium coverage. One application evens out your skin tone, making it look radiant and fresh, but if you like me, wan’t more coverage, then it’s a perfect foundation that’s build-able without making it look cakey or overdone. I’ve been wearing it a lot lately and am very impressed with how long it holds up. It also looks great on camera, so you don’t have to worry about looking like a ghost in your pics. It comes in a pump-action bottle, so you don’t waste a single drop. You can apply it with your fingers, a foundation brush or a “skunk brush”, it’s totally up to you. I like applying it with my foundation brush and then buffing it in with my MAC 187 brush. It gives it a really nice finish that doesn’t require powder to set. For even glowier complexion, I like to apply a bit of Soleil Tan de Chanel on my cheekbones, chin and forehead. Chanel Perfection Lumiere comes in a wide range of shades, so you are sure to…
