Hi There

Everything is Connected

Everything is Connected

Leave notes in public places for strangers, dream up a tiny imaginary world, summon magic powers, draw a portrait of yourself as a “bad guy”, create your own treasure map, or access a secret portal whenever you wish! Sounds kinda awesome doesn’t it?! While kids can generally do this “awesome stuff” on demand, it may be a little trickier for us adults. Thanks to Keri Smith, author of “Wreck this Journal” (and other fun books) whose latest offering, Everything is Connected will have you feeling like an inspired kid again, full of excitement as you create, dream, destroy and imagine a whole new world, one postcard at a time. This little book of postcards is adorable, it’s quirky fun and addictive. A great Christmas present for just about anyone. And while were talking about inspired young minds, I cant help but think of my favourite saying in the whole wide world… We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing {George Bernard Shaw}! So get out there an PLAY! Find it at all good book stores for the recommended retail price of R165 [signature]

I’ve never been a huge TV-games person, that was until Guitar Hero – the game that makes you feel (and act) like a rock star legend. I got myself Guitar Hero Legends of Rock at the end of last year as my Christmas present.  I was eyeing out a pair of Aldo shoes (Aldo happens to be on the same floor as Look and Listen at the Pavilion, so I walked past them first) and decided to skip the shoes and ROCK OUT instead. It’s been three months and I am still crazy about this game.  Granted, my playing time has slowed down since the first month, but I still jam every few days to keep up my rock star status.  I’m no expert, but pretty good for a girl on level 2 (medium) of the game.  If you’re laughing about my Level 2 status and have never played, do yourself a favour – stop laughing and try it out – you’ll be shocked at how difficult the medium level is. Playing with four keys, (as apposed to three in level 1) is quite tricky at first and requires lots of practice and getting used to, especially if, like me,…
