Hi There

3 Holiday Hair Essentials Worth Lugging Along

3 Holiday Hair Essentials Worth Lugging Along

I’ve narrowed down my holiday hair products to the bare essentials. Moroccanoil Light, Batiste Dry Shampoo and a big ol’ Wool floppy hat. That’s it! I cannot live without Moroccanoil Light. Seriously, it’s the best invention ever – and while there are other hair oils out there (and so many of them are fab), I love my Moroccanoil! I have the “big boy” (aka full sized bottle)  sitting on my dressing table, and I like to keep this baby bottle in my travel bag, to make sure I don’t ever leave it behind. It’s happened before and lets just say, I did not have a good hair day! Then, my just-in-case hair essential is Batiste Dry Shampoo. It’s just one of those products… you never know when you’ll need it. On holiday anything can happen… hotel has no hot water, you oversleep and can’t wash your hair, (or another drama) and lets face it, nobody likes to go through the day with dirty, stringy hair! These are also sold in miniatures (and different scent options) so they make for the perfect little travel companions. And last but not least, my big ol Wool Floppy Hat! I’m very much a hat-on-holiday kinda girl, because they protect your hair and face from the sun, but also add that extra…

My Snapshots from Crete – Greece’s Island Paradise

It’s been two weeks since the hubs and I have been back from holiday. Things things have been so manic trying to catch-up, I’ve only now had a chance to even look through my holiday pics. Since I was organizing my snapped memories, I thought I’d share some of my fave pics with you guys. There are a lot, so I’ve split them into two posts, the second one I’ll post on Friday. I didn’t take my “big boy” camera along with all the time, which I regret now – but thankfully we both had our phones with us, so we could at least snap some memories. Today I’ll share some pics from our island holiday in Crete,

Bon Voyage, Adios Amigos, See Ya

Bon Voyage, Adios Amigos, See Ya

By the time you read this post, I’ll be on a beach, sipping Frappe’s and getting my summer tan on! I’m off to Greece for a little European holiday! Don’t worry though, nothing will change on StyleScoop! I’ve been working like a crazy mo-fo (and drinking way too much coffee) to ensure that posts will be loaded for you while I am away! So you’ll still be able to log in every day and catch up on the daily scoop! Aren’t I the best? While StyleScoop will say updated, I am going to be on holiday, so I wont be answering any emails. Don’t stress if you don’t get an answer! It’s probably becuase I’m on a blissful island in the Mediterranean! That, or getting my annual fix of Starbucks, Frappe, Souvlaki or Mythos beer (even though I don’t drink beer)! Anyhoo! If you want to keep updated with me (and check out all the awesome things I’ll be snapping in Greece), be sure to follow me on Instagram. You can find me there under the username stylescoopdimi xoxo Dimi

Holiday Reading List

Holiday Reading List

Hi Kids This week I’m off to Greece for a little summer vay-cay (yay, yay) and I am so excited! Sun, sand, sea and summer! What could be better?! My plan is to soak up the sun, enjoy some Mediterranean relaxation and catch up on some reading! I’m planning to clock many, many hours doing sweet nothing, but relaxing!   But with the ecstasy of a holiday comes the agony – the 12 or so hours of nothing-to-do on a plane! Plus all the other hours sitting waiting for my connecting flight at the airport! Grrr! For the plane trip, I plan to read Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres, a novel set in Greece, which I think will be quite fitting. And because I’m a sucker for history, Paris and Ernest Hemingway, I couldn’t resist downlaoding The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. It’s the story of Hadley Richardson, Ernest Hemingway’s first wife, and their love story and life in Paris in the 1920’s. Then, if I finish reading them both (and that’s a big if!), I have The Carrie Diaries by Candice Bushnell as a backup read. It’s been sitting in my Kindle (or Kindle for iPad rather) for ever, I just haven’t had the…
