With a slightly round tip, this brush is also ideal if you want to line your upper lids with a cream based eye shadow, instead of using a pencil or powder liner. Now this brush is super cool. I had never used it or heard about it before this review and I absolutely love using it. The M.A.C 219 Pencil Brush is ideal for creating smokey, smouldering eyes and has lots of other great features too. It’s shaped like a pencil and the smooth, soft fibers allow for precise makeup application.

BRUSHing up with M.A.C – The 187 “Skunk” Brush

BRUSHing up with M.A.C – The 187 “Skunk” Brush

I have been a huge fan of M.A.C brushes for a long time, ever since my first touch of the fabulous brushes about five years ago. I have used and seen many of their brushes, but this one is by far the coolest. The M.A.C 187 Duo Fiber Brush, or “The Skunk” brush as it’s known as it resembles a skunk’s tail, is the ideal brush for applying liquid foundation and giving you an airbrush finish. Best of all, it really works! “It contains two types of hair; longer white hairs to deliver the product and shorter black hairs to buff the product into the skin” says National Training Manger fro M.A.C Cosmetics Robin McBroom. “Effectively, the harder you press, the more blending you achieve.  Apply the product to the tip of the brush and gently move it in smaller circles over your skin.  The brush almost polishes the skin as it moves, resulting in a beautiful, seamless finish to the skin” says Robin. I love this brush because you can use it to apply your liquid foundation and also to follow up with your pressed powder, which will help set your makeup. Another tip I found researching this brush…
