Spring into Summer

I recently got a little sneak peek into some of the fabulous goodies on offer at Woolworths this summer. I’m excited about all the pretty pastels and light, easy to wear items. My favourite item are these super hot RE: snake print skinny jeans. They are cropped at the ankle and look great with heels, sandals and especially wedges! Cute pastel pretty lemon lace vest. I love the faux pocket zip detail. Slouchy is so in this season and this RE: top is perfect for layering over your vest for chilly evenings, or for the transition from Spring into Summer. A trendy way to wear over sized tops is to wear them off one shoulder with a pretty top peeking out underneath. Love, love, love this crushed-look button up shirt. It looks like denim but it’s much lighter and perfect for spring. There are a zillion ways to wear this one… buttoned up, unbuttoned over a vest or even tied at the ends to turn it into a casual cool crop top. I’m especially fond of the the sleeve, which has these cute outer buttons and tie detail. Great for rolling it up to wear as a three-quarter sleeve. Look out for crop pants…

I have always loved the sleek sophistication of Giorgio Armani’s designs. He makes the most form fitting, flattering and downright sexy suits! He’s latest Spring/ Summer 2012 collection took my breath away. Beautiful, clean lines with that distinct Armani signature. Spring Harmony – Chanel Makeup Collection 2012 Review

Trust Chanel to come up with yet another lustworthy makeup collection. I absolutely love thier colour collections! Their nail polishes are always one step ahead, offering colours that are unique and true to the brand’s fashion forward thinking. We may be a season behind when it comes to fashion, but thankfully we can still get our hands on the latest, 2012 Spring Makeup Collection from Chanel. It launches at at all Chanel counters on the 27th January 2012! I got to play with the full nail polish collection and a blusher that’s to die for! Let’s start with the nail polishes (R235 each). I love the names of the three nail colours in the new Chanel Spring Harmony collection; April, May and June – named after three months of Spring in the northern hemisphere. April is a highly luminous garnet of wild berries. It may seem like an unlikely “spring” colour”, but it’s really a pretty shade that looks great for any season. I guess it would be the perfect transition from winter into spring; when you’re not feeling quite as fun and flirty but still want to melt away the winter blues. Summer Shoes Special – Woven Wedges

I heart, heart, heart these summer shoes! Woven wedges are uber cool for summer and look good with anything from wide legged jeans, white skinny jeans, little denim shorts or skirts. All you need is a good, South African tan and you’re good to! Woolies Scoop! Technicolour Jeans

Coloured jeans are a huge trend for our upcoming summer, and we’re really glad these styles are back in fashion. The latest trend in coloured jeans is bright, technicolour skinny jeans in bright blues and fire-engine reds. Bright Blues Kim Kardashian and Hillary Duff are both fans of bright blue jeans, and as you can see from their ensembles, bright blue jeans work both for a casual cool effect a la Hillary or dressed up with a rocker edge like Kim. Bright blue jeans are best paired with simple white tees and stunner, stand out shoes! Racy Reds For a more stand out take on the technicolor jeans trend, look to stylista’s Hayden Panettiere, Khloe Kardashian and Mischa Barton for a little style inspiration.
