Yardley CC Cream! Beauty Review

Yardley has launched their very own CC cream, and the best news is that this CC cream comes in at an affordable price! CC Cream, hot off the heels of BB Cream, is an all-in-one makeup product that offers all the skin-care benefits of BB creams, as well as colour correcting properties. I love my BB creams, but they just don’t offer enough “coverage” for me when worn alone. You see, I have a bit of pigmentation on my skin, that is difficult to cover up, and I am always on the look out for products that will tone it down, or better yet, make it disappear! I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the Yardley CC Cream is! Besides giving my skin a beautiful base, it reduced the appearance of my pigmentation dramatically! I could wear it alone, without foundation – which looks more natural, but if I really want to cover up my pigmentation and have flawless colour tone, then I love using Yardley CC Cream as my primer/ makeup base, followed by my MAC Studio Fix Foundation. The #RWC2011 is in full swing and our boys in green are gold are looking good! It’s so nice to see South African’s behind the #boks and even us fabulous females can do our bit to support our boys. You don’t need beer and a boyish rugby tee to do it, we can do it in style with green and gold makeup. Thankfully these two colours go magnificently together as they are on opposite sides of the colour wheel, which means they compliment each other, so you wont look like a clown while supporting your team. Nothing looks more summer-cool than nude nails on a beach bronzed hand. As you know, I’m obsessed with nail colours – it’s the quickest, easiest and probably one of the most affordable ways to change your mood in an instant. This summer, I’ll show you six of my favourite nail colour trends to try on your nails. Kicking off today with Nude Nails. Now, there are two kinds of nude; Simple nudes like beige and soft natural skin tones, and then slightly more amped shades with a hint of pink or muddy browns. Take a look Nude as in naked If you want to create skin toned nails, I love these three colours. Three different shades of nude, but each with their own unique style and benefits… Of the three my fave is Tip Top Nail Chic in Cotton Beige. This colour has a slightly more yellow tone and is solid and full – kinda like gel. This past week I’ve gone bonkers for blue. The last two days, I’ve been playing with blue nail colour in navy and oceanic shades, and today’ I’m featuring blue palettes for the eyes! The palette Feeling blue yet? Top on my list is Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay in Place Shadow Cream in “Blue Velvet”. The colour contrasts gorgeously with my hazel/ green eyes and because it’s a cream shadow you can expect it to last all day – and it does! I’ve recently discovered Clarins mascara and their Wonder Perfect Mascara in blue is magnificent. I even use it with other eye shadow colours and it gives my lashes great definition. Pair this with the shadow above and pencil below and you’re set! For an all blue effect, the Artist’s Eye Pencil from Estee Lauder in Blue Iris is a must! It needs only a light stroke for intense navy blue colour. So you don’t have to worry about pressing too hard on your lids. The smudge brush on the other end is also cool for blending quickly and easily. For a slightly different, wilder shade of blue I kind-a-like this colour from Rimmel Glam Eyes called “Posh Peacock”.…
