The makeup you use, and whether you choose to do it yourself or leave it in the hands of the professionals, can make a huge impact on the quality of your photos.
Here are five interesting snippets of information from Cicilia, to help you get ready for your close up.
1. Professional makeup artists use professional products which are specifically designed to photograph exceptionally. These products ensure that your photos or video come out exactly how you intend – PERFECT
2. The camera sees images in two dimensions, which is why often in photographs, features may appear “flat”. Using special shading and contouring techniques, makeup artists are able to enhance and highlight facial features, making you look more striking and almost life-like.
3. Makeup artists have a wide variety of makeup shades to suit every complexion and eye colour. These specialist products, in addition to being hypoallergenic, will also last much longer than regular makeup that is purchased in store for everyday use.
4. A professional makeup artist is trained to enhance your best features. They are also able to us the most flattering colours for your specific complexion and eye colour.
5. Non professional foundations contain an ingredient called “titanium dioxide” which is also the main ingredient found in sunscreens. This ingredient reacts with flash photography, which makes the face appear much whiter in photos than in real life.
