Yummy winter skin

With winter blazing its cold force and being outdoors thanks to the soccer, I’m sure many of you have felt the drying effects of winter on your skin.

I recently got to try some fabulous new products that are the perfect indulgence for winter skin. And if that’s not enough to make you go oh-la-la, they are local and well priced too!

The name is Meadowsweet and they offer a luxurious, Paraben-free range of beauty products, including my favourites, body salts and hand & body lotions that invigorate, some even say its a touch of sunshine for the soul, and after trying them first hand, I’m inclined to agree.

All their products are hand made on the rocky shores of Gansbaai (near Hermanus in the Western Cape) and made using only the purest essential oils.

My faves, for an all round beauty treat those in the Relaxing Lavender range. The bath salts gently exfoliate the skin while pumping it with revitalizing lavender and the hand cream is so delicious, I just want to eat it up. Seriously, the smell kind of reminded me of sitting in a sushi bar – think a delightful mix of fabulous flavours, bamboo and sesame seeds.

These goodies make great gifts – even if you want to spoil yourself – and can be ordered directly from their website at www.meadowsweet.co.za. The bath salts retail from around R54.95 (for a 50ml bottle), while their range of handmade soaps, spritzers, body butters, bath milks and muscle relaxers are all so well priced, you’d be cheating yourself if you don’t get them all!

I have loved using Meadowsweet’s products for years. Their Lemongrass Body Butter is my favorite. It has helped me not only to have a soft, nourished skin, but also completely healed my cracked heels. Yummy stuff indeed.
