There is only one way to change your mood and your style in under five minutes! Just paint your nails a different colour. If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll notice that I’ve been a tad nail colour obsessed.
With friends and followers snapping pics of their very worthy stashes, to everyone tweeting their colours, nails are all the rage!
The past few weeks, I’ve been playing with a whole bunch of colours – from pretty pastels, to bright yellows to super-pop-out greens and blues. The summer trends this season are just to die for! So, to help you along the way, here are some of the TipTop nail colour trends and what I think!
1. Pastels
These are my faves! Indulge in a pastel perfect shade of sorbet. Soft, delicate and oh-so-girly, these colours will give you that lovin’ feelin all the way down to your fingers and toes! They are perfect for adding a subtle, playful colour without making too much of a statement.

2. Trendy Blues
Blue nail polish from light to dark, pastel to neon is a Summer 2010 must have! Blue on the toes also looks great with sun kissed bronzed feet and gorgeous sandals. Choose a shade that looks good on you!
3. Neons
Not for the feint hearted! Welcome the 80’s with bright pops of neon. Among my faves are neon pink (of course) and neon yellow!

4. Blacks
Glad to see black is still in for Summer 2010 and I think it may just be one of those colours that sticks around. Wear black with bright clothes or accessorize with statement jewellery. Don’t paint toes and nails black at the same time – try to add colour to one or the other when going for all black and remember black looks chic on short, groomed nails.
5. Reds
Red will never go out of style. This season red is kept classic and chic! Long red nails can tend to look a bit “Pretty Woman” (before the transformation) so stick to painting red on short, well kept nails. Red also looks gorgeous on toes!
6. Matte, Glitter and Metallic
Of course you still need super attention grabbing nail colour for when you hit those summer cocktail parties and beach bars! From gold to silver, glitter to shiny, make your nails the perfect crowd pleaser!
