FINE HAIR

Louise has curly, fine hair and lots of it! She’s a hairdresser, so naturally she styles her hair every day and colours it often! She wanted a product that cleaned out all the buildup, so her hair could look more vibrant and shiny…

LOUISE SAYS: I wash my hair daily and I found that a small amount of shampoo, less than a five Rand coin was more than enough to create a great lather. On the days when I skipped a wash, I had to shampoo twice to create that same lather and remove the buildup from my hair. Both the shampoo and the conditioner smell very fresh and remind me of the minty scent of tea tree.

Both the shampoo and conditioner are very concentrated, which means you use very little and get the same result as using double the amount of normal shampoos and conditioners.

After shampooing my hair, I followed with step 2, conditioner. My hair is very curly, so I normally apply conditioner all over and not just on the ends. Id let my conditioner soak in for about 1-3 minutes before rinsing. I could actually feel a slight tingle, and used this as a sign that it was time to rinse off.

After conditioning, I applied step 3, the scalp treatment as directed. I found the scalp treatment to give my scalp a reddish tone, but after a few minutes it returned to it’s normal colour.

I normally have oily roots as my sebaceous glands are very active, but after using the Nioxin 3 step system, my roots are much cleaner. I didn’t notice too much of a growth in the lengths of my hair, but I definitely started to notice new hair forming around the frame of my scalp. Overall my hair had noticeable volume and felt thicker.

In addition to the shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment, I also used Nioxin Bliss Thermal Protector, as I straighten my hair a lot and it helps protect it. Overall, I found this to be an excellent product and I loved that my hair didn’t feel weighed down.

Since I’ve been using Nioxin, people have been commenting on the amazing shine. I am very happy and would definitely recommend Nioxin as a high performance product!

Because it’s recommended that you only use Nioxin products for maximum results of the range, I used Nioxin Bodifying Foam on days when I wanted to wear my hair curly, and Nioxin NioSpray Extra Hold hairspray to keep my style all day.
