New Skincare Launches… Tried, Tested, Loved!

Kiehl’s Dermatologist Solutions Precision Lifting & Pore Tightening Concentrate

kiehls-precision-lifting-and-pore-tightening-concentrateLately my pores have been looking rather scary! So this little guy came to me just in time!

I’ve finally understood how Charlotte (Sex and The City) felt about pores. You know in that episode where she sits at her vanity, inspecting her pores with a magnifying mirror? I tell you, I’ve never had an issue with enlarged pores, but I guess it’s one of those things that comes with age and I was starting to feel it!

In September 2015, Kiehl’s launched their Precision Lifting Pore Tightening Concentrate in South Africa. I got to try it out and have been using it, day and night (post cleansing, pre moisturising) for almost a month and I can definitely see a big difference in the size or my pores.

It features the power of highly refined Micro-Filtered Yeast Extract as well as Geranium Essential Oil, which Kiehl’s have found to improve the look of the skin’s “bounce-back” quality, while reducing the appearance of enlarged pores.

According to Kiehl’s research, enlarged pores are difficult to treat and the problem affects over 300 million in the world! Me being one of them haha!

Enlarged pores were also thought to be caused by dirt and oil trapped in the skin’s surface, but Kiehl’s discovered that age also plays a part, and as skin begins to sag, the pores become noticeably bigger, so they came up with solution!

Now, I am no expert when it comes to skincare, but like I said, pores have never been an issue for me. I only started experiencing them now that my skin is ageing, and even though I’ve always followed a religious skincare routine, sometimes the inevitable happens, so I am happy to say that there is a product out there that works!

I started noticing an improvement in my makeup application (as that’s when my pores look their worst) after about a week of consistently using Kiehls‘ Precision Lifting Pore Tightening Concentrate.

Is it worth it? Abso-Friggin-Loutley!
