Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
Ok, so Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser isn’t quite “new” (well it’s newish to the South African market at least), but it’s the first time I got to try it out.
It’s one of those primers that has been hyped to death on the net, so I was curious to see what all the fuss was about.
Firstly, let me tell you that the texture is heavenly! It feels beautiful and smoothing on the skin and for a primer under R100 bucks, I think it’s definitely worth it. Plus the packaging is cute as a friggin button!
While it feels like a silicone based primer, it blends nicely into the skin without leaving a sticky or gooey residue behind. If your skin is dry, it will give you a wonderful, smooth canvas to work with, and if you’re more on the oily side, you can still benefit from this product, but use it only where you need it.
In terms of “pore erasing”, it does that on a superficial level – meaning it helps to blur out enlarged pores making them appear less prominent when you apply your makeup, but it doesn’t do anything about addressing the issue of pores- leave that to the Kiehl’s Precision Lifting & Pore Tightening Concentrate.
The best way to apply Baby Skin is in small amounts and press and blend the product into the skin. Don’t make the mistake of “smearing it on” as you really don’t need too much product to get a good result.
