Midnight Blooms

It may be winter – but I have Spring In My Step! I’ll admit, I’m not usually one to wear running shoes or sneakers outside of the gym – but these New Balance Midnight Blooms are so beautiful, so comfy and so darn cute, they are the perfect casual kicks that don’t look overly sporty! I actually love them! The Fresh Foam Zante soles makes them feel like I’m walking on air and let’s be honest – who could complain about looking down and seeing a gorgeous tropical print at their feet?

Give a girl the right stripes, and she can rock any look! Well, in my case at least! I could live in stripes and IMO you can never have too many striped options in your wardrobe. I just love how stripes add that street style look to what ever you’re wearing, plus they are such versatile pieces.

Oh Michael! Michael Kors Summer Eyewear

You guys! I have a new obsession (yes, yes, yes… another one!) Michael Kors Eyewear!, And thanks to the fab peeps at Luxottica, we can now get our hands on this beautiful collection of sunnies, crafted with signature design elements. I got to touch and feel the beauty of Michael Kors eyewear at Luxottica’s buyers days and let me tell you girls, they are beautiful! Feast your eyes… Michael Kors CLEMENTINE II These babies are soooo beautiful! Aviators that ooze that chic and glam, signature Michael Kors style! I need them in my life! They are classic and effortless, with an eye catching wow factor happening on the temple, that features a solid gold arm with a stand out engraved logo. When I tried these on, I felt like a friggin rock star! No wonder, they are targeted for the consummate jet setter! They are HUGE, which I love! I have a smallish face, but a long one at that, and I’ve never found a pair of sunnies that really cover my cheek area. Tan & Grey Outfit

I think this tan fringed cardigan might be one of my favourite purchases this winter. Besides being soft, cozy and very versatile, it will be a great transitional piece that I’m sure I will get lots of wear in Spring… I know, I’m counting down the days to warmer weather already! I love the mix of orange and grey colours, the amazing tribal print at the back, and of course the fringe details! I layered it over an all grey outfit, pulling out some of my old closet favourites like this grey tee shirt, grey skinny jeans and my over the knee boots. Sun Shadey Days – New Sunglass Styles from Luxottica

Today I’m super excited, because I get to show you gals some of the hot new sunglass styles on offer from Luxottica’s brands! I love them all so much… and as I always say, a girl can never have too many shoes, perfumes or sunglasses! Brace yourselves though, for a bazillion-and-one sunglass selfies… Dolce & Gabbana First up, Dolce and Gabbana. The new range from the Italian powerhouse is absolutely jaw dropingly beautiful. Sophisticated, elegant and ladylike, but all while maintaining a serious glam factor… One of the biggest statements I’ve noticed Dolce & Gabbana making, are square frames. Whether simple square frames, or really extravagant ones that have beautiful hand made roses embellishing the entire frame! These kinda remind me of a heavily frosted cake! I just want to eat them up! It’s all about the detail, with gorgeous temples, encrusted with cute and a little quirky bling-bling! Kinda obsessed with these (real) lace shades! At first, I thought the colour wouldn’t match my dark hair, but surprise, surprise… they are winners! Absolutely loving these floral options… Go all out with floral prints throughout your frames, or opt for more subtle versions (like the back pair) that have simple black frames in front, with a surprise floral detail hidden inside.…

Monochrome Peplum Outfit

Happy Friday Gals! I’ve had a busy two days, judging Miss Veet SA, and man oh man, I am so looking forward to the weekend! It was a fun, yet grueling judging process, with such lovely girls. I enjoyed chatting with all ten finalists, but in the end the bubbly and beautiful Odirile Sepeng took home the crown. The crowning was held yesterday at the Four Seasons Westcliff Hotel and I took advantage of the backdrop (and the photographic skills of fellow fashion blogger, Irina from I’ll take it all) to help me shoot a little OOTD. Elegance Untamed Braided Hair Look

I’m so excited for the Wild Africa Cream launch party happening in Jozi this week. And, if you entered my giveaway, today I’ll announce who will be joining me with their BFF for an evening of Elegance Untamed! Read to the end of this post to see if it’s you! This week I wanted to play around with something different. I wanted to show you how to incorporate a touch of leopard into a chic evening look, by giving your hair a bit of a wild edge… Since I really suck at doing my own hair, I had the help of my talented hairdresser, Louise from Eclat Creatif (she’s amazing) whip up this edgy, boho braided creation with a touch of leopard print. We used my ClipinHair Extensions (read my review here) to add more fullness to my braid. Isn’t it beautiful?! I finished my look off with a simple LBD and my new Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. They are so cute! They have an almost leopard print effect to them and inside, they have flash of fun with red and white polka dots. For my makeup, I used these beautiful goodies from Inglot. Give me Sunglasses! New Season Styles

Nothing can quite compare to being in a room, filled with sunglasses! I mean, it’s a dangerous place for a sunglass addict like me to roam free, but at the same time, it feels so right! I got a chance to take a peek at the new sunglass styles coming our way from all the fabulous Luxottica brands at their recent Buyers’ Days… So let’s start with some beauts from Dolce & Gabbana… Dolce & Gabbana know how to do wow! I mean WOW! Those first shades… gorgeous and very typically Dolce & Gabanna! I love the second and third pic too! Leopard Print is a true Dolce & Gabbana signature, while the polka dotty shades, have me singing, itsy bitsy tiny weeny polka dot bikini… (just change it from yellow to red okay!) And then there was Prada… Prada’s are my fave sunglasses. Chic, stylish and they always have the most amazing temple (the little arm thingie, – read my Sunglass anatomy post so that you know how to correctly refer to each piece). They’ve nailed the amazing temple once again and I love how they’ve mixed up the colours as well. Prada Baroque is back with a blinged out look! I absolutely love this style! But, sadly…

Sunshine Tiger

We’ve really had the most amazing weather in Durban this past week! In fact, I think it’s been the best “Christmas Week” (weather wise) in ages! The sun has been shining and with two days off, I spent a lot of time by my pool – which doesn’t get used very often. I got to wear my new GAP Denim Cut-off shorts, which are so comfy – I love the frayed edges – and my Tiger print tee, which I think compliments my new crazy ombre hair colour (inspired by Jessica Alba).
