This weekend I decided to re-organize and display my heels, and after two days of “closet-re-organizing” and getting all my shoezie-woozies together in one place, I realized that I’m a bit of a boring shoe person. Sad but true! With the exception of my blue suede Steve Madden Trinite pumps, nearly every single pair of heels I own is either black, brown or beige. Hello boring! Now, bear in mind – I’m only talking about high heels here, I do have two pairs of slightly colorful wedges. I love, love, love shoes – as if I need to emphasize this statement! If you’re a regular on StyleScoop then you’ll know just how shoe crazed I am, but when it comes to buying shoes, it’s clear that I’m definitely not a risk taker and definitely tend to stick to the basics. I do have some “wow” pairs of shoes that still make my heart melt when I look at them, but even so, they are still either black, brown or nude. It’s been ages since I’ve bought myself a new pair of shoes, and on my next little high heel splurge, I think it’s high time I adopted some colorful, edgier…

This week, my column is a little different.  This time I’m discussing a fabulous pair of shoes I bought this weekend, but really can’t decide if I like them all that much.  More importantly, I can’t decide if they go with much. The shoes themselves are FABULOUS and very comfortable too! I tried them on with pair of bootcut jeans, and they look hot – the perfect shopping shoe, plus they match one of my gold bags. So whats my problem? Well besides the jeans, I can’t find anything else in my cupboard that go with them.  I tried them on with a denim skirt – a no, and a pair of denim three quarter pants – double no! So I did a bit of research online to find out what other types of clothing compliment wedges, and this is what I came up with. Most of the sites suggest wearing wedges with flowy dresses.  There’s my first problem – I need to stock up.  Apparently they balance out puffier skirts a lot better.  I’m not into puffy skirts, so there goes that possibility.  Wrap dresses are supposedly another item that look good with wedges.  I can do wrap dresses…

Just like a horse and carriage, sexy shoes are complete with hot pouts.   After all your statement colours start at your lips and end at your shoes.  Pick your lipstick shade according to your outfit, but don’t neglect the shoes you’re wearing. This week I’ve paired some gorgeous celeb inspired looks and found shoes and fabulous lipsticks to help you recreate your own red carpet moment.  Plus there’s a look for every girl.  From the natural beauty, to the red carpet diva. The Natural Beauty Nobody pulls of the “natural look” quite like Sienna Miller.  Her style is generally pretty simple, but Sienna always looks perfectly put together.  Get yourself a pretty dress this summer and pair it with a pair of your favourite gladiator flats in metallic shades.  The featured flats are one of the many styles available at Woolworths. Pull your hair back into an effortless pony and leave a few strands falling at the sides.  Keep your make up flawless and simple and give your pout some attitude with a bit of striking pink.   I love Benefit‘s new Silky Finish Lipstick in My Treat.  The sheer pink shade gives your lips long lasting colour that looks pretty…

Beach days are drawing nearer, which means sun, bronzed bods and bikinis.  But it also means that some of us will have to “come back down to earth” – literally, ditching our heels and clutches for flip flops and straw beach bags.  But, just because you’re walking at a lower level, doesn’t give you an excuse to step down the level of your style. Check out the new range of Ipanema flip flops by super model Gisele Bündchen, which have launched in South Africa and are available at Woolworths stores, in a wide variety of colours and styles. I love the first pair (1), seeing as my husband is six foot and I stand around 5.3.  I need a little something to lift me up a bit.  Sadly, this pair was not available when I went to check it out, but I noticed that some of the other styles are available.  I think I’ll wait for “my pair” to come out though. They are great flops and and very comfortable too.  I bought a pair of last years style , just before the new range launched – with grey rubber soles and glittery silver straps.  What I really like about…

Add some style to your stride and twinkle to your toes with a pair of sexy, metallic heels. They are a huge hit this season, and really do go with just about any outfit. Pair them with a stylish matching clutch or handbag, anddon’t forget – if its sandals you’re wearing, perfectly manicured toes are a must. Try the new Revlon “Get em gold” nail enamel, which looks gorgeous with a pair of strappy, gold-dust sandals.

For this weeks’ column, instead of writing about fabulous shoes, inspired by stumbling’s in stilettos, I decided to do an article on how to walk in high heels. I’ve also included some stiletto-secrets that I’ve picked up a long the way, to help you not only love your shoes, but love wearing them to.

A great pair heels does so much more than simply showing off a fabulous shoe. Heels accentuate and elongate the legs, enhance your curves, boost your confidence and ooze sexiness.

When strutting your stuff…
