Hi There

Midnight Blooms

Midnight Blooms

It may be winter – but I have Spring In My Step! I’ll admit, I’m not usually one to wear running shoes or sneakers outside of the gym – but these New Balance Midnight Blooms are so beautiful, so comfy and so darn cute, they are the perfect casual kicks that don’t look overly sporty! I actually love them! The Fresh Foam Zante soles makes them feel like I’m walking on air and let’s be honest – who could complain about looking down and seeing a gorgeous tropical print at their feet?

Leopard. Espadrilles. Outfit

Leopard. Espadrilles. Outfit

I finally found a pair of beautiful leopard print espadrilles, so I guess you could say I’m over the moon! Best part, they were on sale (whoop whoop) and are totally comfortable, cute and exactly what I’ve been looking for!

Tan & Grey Outfit

Tan & Grey Outfit

I think this tan fringed cardigan might be one of my favourite purchases this winter. Besides being soft, cozy and very versatile, it will be a great transitional piece that I’m sure I will get lots of wear in Spring… I know, I’m counting down the days to warmer weather already! I love the mix of orange and grey colours, the amazing tribal print at the back, and of course the fringe details! I layered it over an all grey outfit, pulling out some of my old closet favourites like this grey tee shirt, grey skinny jeans and my over the knee boots. I finished the look off with my favourite bag ever, my Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body Bag – probably my best purchase to date! Outfit Details Tassel Cardigan from Sheinside (on sale) Grey T-shirt – Gap (old) Grey Skinny Jeans – Zara (old) Over the Knee Boots – Luella (old) Handbag – Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body Bag. Also love this colour Sunglasses – Prada. Also love these Happy Friday lovelies xx

1 Summer Dress, 3 Ways

1 Summer Dress, 3 Ways

Packing for a holiday is not easy, especially for us girls who want to bring our entire wardrobe along with us! A girl needs options you know! But these days I’ve started packing smarter, and choosing pieces that can be mixed and matched to create a casual day, fun and a more ‘evening’ look with one key item. This means less packing and more outfit choices. I picked up this cute Lynne Tropical Dress from Old Khaki that’s super light and easy to dress up or down. You can wear it entirely on its own, or add a few accessories to change the look. Here are some ways I styled it to create three very different looks, perfect for a summer holiday. 1. Out and About This look works pretty much for every kind of holiday occasion. Just add a leather belt, some simple sandals and a cross body bag and away you go! Crossbody Bag: Woolworths (old), Leather Plaited Belt: The Space (old), Sandals from Greece 2. Sightseeing For something a little more fun and a little bit sporty, I paired up my tropical dress with a simple striped tee (which I knotted at the side), a pair of sparkly sneakers and a cute hat. Then, I added a long…

“Peek-a-Boo” Sleeves – 3 Ways!

“Peek-a-Boo” Sleeves – 3 Ways!

My current obsession is wearing striped tees (long for winter) and layering them with a denim shirt or camo jacket. Then, rolling the sleeves up just a bit to let the stripes peek out. This style is very JCrew, and I love it! It gives an otherwise boring outfit a stylish edge! I’m obsessed! Here are three ways I’ve worn peek-a-boo sleeves… I wore this outfit when we went up Sani Pass back in March this year. It was fa-fa-freezing up there! The darker it got, the colder it got. I managed to wear this outfit while the sun (not that you can see it) was out, and later I put on my leather bomber jacket under my sleeveless puffer jacket. I love the combination of my denim shirt and the black and white long sleeved tee. Look at how the stripes peek out on the arms, and I love how the stripes peek out at the back too! Nothing I’m wearing in this outfit is new, except for my Caterpillar Military Boots! Black Jeans – Woolworths RE, Black & White Tee – Zara, Denim Shirt – Edgars, Puffer Sleeveless Jacket – Woolworths. When I did the CROCS “Make A Splash” shoot in April, we had…

Your Working Wardrobe at Woolworths

Your Working Wardrobe at Woolworths

Ahh, back to work! How’s your working wardrobe looking? Are you ready to take on 2012 with a business bang? Here’s StyleScoop’s guide to looking cool at the office. I love wide leg trousers, especially when it comes to looking professional and pulled together. When these trousers hit the floor at just the right spot, they can make your legs look miles long and slim your physique. Remember though, when wearing loads of fabric at the bottom, it’s best to keep it minimal on top. A pretty blouse in a soft fabric is ideal. Just tuck it in to reveal a small waist. Wide Leg Pants: studio.w (from R299), Floral Pussy Bow Swing Shirt: Classic Collection (from R225), Smudge Spot Swing Vest: studio.w (from R180). For a really striking, classic look go for wide leg pants with a plain white or cream shirt or blouse, Kim Kardashain Style. The RE: Plain Utility Shirt is a great option, while the cream studio.w Pussy Bow Blouse makes for an interesting alternative to a plain white shirt. A classic bag is a work essential. From left; Classic Structured Zip Organiser – R275 and Classic Eyelit Ring Slouch Bag in gold or khaki – R199. A…
