I am obsessed with prints lately! I don’t know if it’s just me, or if the prints these days are just speaking my kinda lingo! More tribal, less floral? Either way, I’m loving it! I am so over winter, and I can’t wait for warmer weather. I’ve already started seeking out my summer wardrobe and found such great pieces the other day at Old Khaki! Two great pieces that are fab for summer! These two are perfect for your spring-into-sumer wardrobe too, since the fabric is lightweight, making them great layering pieces! The one thing you NEED in your summer wardrobe is a gorgeous printed maxi skirt. The Reine Printed Maxi Skirt from Old Khaki ticks all the boxes for me. Gorgeous print – check! Perfect fit – check! Easy pockets – check! Perfect length – check! Elasticated waist band – check! Flowy fabric – check! Check, check, check! This skirt is everything! Because it’s made from rayon (viscose), it hangs perfectly on the body! It can be used as a great staple to build a multitude of looks. Another great piece, is this purple Marnie Printed Cami. Again, love everything about it! This essential summer top is also made from rayon fabric, and fits perfectly! Isn’t the print gorgeous?…

The other day, I went to check out Brooklyn Mall (which I think I may just be in love with), and there I found the coolest shop – Design Team Having recently moved, I do feel that I am cheating on fashion with furniture – and my obsession for a pretty pad is getting stronger! I’ve been looking for cute, different and stylish scatter cushions for some time, and have held off buying ones for the sake of buying, until I could find ones that I was absolutely head-over-heels-in-love with! And I finally found them, in the prettiest and coolest fabrics at Design Team. If you’re ever around Brooklyn, make a stop at their first store! You will go nuts for the pretty patterns. Besides scatters (made with down feathers), you’ll also find fabric sold by the meter, wallpaper, aprons, throws, tablecloths, runners, napkins and more. I’m obsessed with their Love Doll print and their Gemsbok design. I keep popping in regularly, hoping that they’ll have scatters in this fabric soon! [signature]

I must be living under a rock! I mean seriously, how long has it taken me to get my hands on Lou Harvey, the awesome brand of cute and eye catching bags?! Last week, I accidentally discovered the Lou Harvey factory shop in Hillcrest. I was as excited as waiting for the Tooth Fairy! I went to this kitchen supply store (I’m not even sure what it’s called), which I have been to many times before, looking for vases. I had some time to spare, so walked around. Then, BANG! Hello Lou Harvey! It was like being trapped in a candy store! Full of colourful candy in all shapes and sizes! YUM! And like candy, I wanted every flavour, every style, every colour, every shape… everything! I think I may have spent at least an hour, just deciding on what I wanted! It was all so predddddy! Now, as tough as the decision I was faced with was, they were having a sale, to make things harder for me. So there was no way I could walk out with just one item! Not that these bags are at all badly priced, but I’ve been trying very hard to save for our overseas trip next…

Animal print screams, “vixen”, “va-va-voom” and “mama mia”. There is no mistaken this one, animal print turns heads. Now don’t get me wrong… I am ca-ra-zee about animal print, but wearing it from head to toe? Argh – I don’t think thats fashionista at all. I think, a bit of animal here and there looks striking and sophisticated, but animal here there and everywhere looks cheap and so not classy, unless of course, its a one piece dress – then the rules are broken slightly…
