BokFriday is Back!

Guys and gals, it’s time to bring out your green and gold and wear it proud! SA Rugby are asking the public to get behind our boys and wear their Springbok supporters gear on Friday’s! Why not try out one of three of our Green and Gold inspired makeup tutorials to get in the spirit? The first Springbok game kicks off tomorrow, 9th June 2012 at Mr Price Kings Park in Durban, in the first Test of the Castle Incoming Tour against England. The team for tomorrow includes: Zane Kirchner, JP Pietersen, Jean de Villiers (captain), Frans Steyn, Bryan Habana, Morné Steyn, Francois Hougaard, Pierre Spies, Willem Alberts, Marcell Coetzee, Juandré Kruger, Eben Etzebeth, Jannie du Plessis, Bismarck Du Plessis (vice-captain), Tendai Mtawarira. Replacements: Adriaan Strauss, Coenie Oosthuizen, Flip van der Merwe, Keegan Daniel, Ruan Pienaar, Pat Lambie, Wynand Olivier. Who is your fave player?

Green & Gold Springbok Inspired Looks by @InglotSA

I asked Inglot‘s Brand Consultant and National Trainer, Luciano dos Santos to send me some tips on how to create perfect Sprinkbok inspired green and gold eye makeup. Luciano says that “green and gold are great colours to use together.” He also warns that you should be very careful not to over do it or else your look could end up looking over dramatic – unless of course, that’s what you’re going for! Luciano sent us three looks that you can try this Rugby season to support our Springboks in style! Green & Gold Makeup Look 1 Brush a frosted neutral(creamy colour ) with a golden reflect over the eyelid and blend softly up onto the brow bone. Line the bottom eye line with a frosted green (either chatreuse or even a moss green) blend into a faded line. Finish of by adding a black liner around the rim of the eye – top and bottom. Apply a few layers of mascara for long and thick lashes. Green & Gold Makeup Look 2 Apply a satin finish or matte green over the eyelid. Any shade of green is suitable for this look. Springbok Friday – South African Flag Nail Art & Video

Happy Bok Friday FashioniStars! I hope you’re all wearing your green and gold jerseys today and getting excited about our buff bokke playing on Sunday? Lately, I’ve been a little over obsessed with nail art, since discovering Inglot nail pens, so I thought, because our boys are playing this weekend, and it is Bok Friday, I would attempt to paint my nails with the South African flag. While I would have loved to do all my nails, our flag, as bright and colourful as it, is super tricky. Lots of lines, which means lots of concentration – something I’m not very good at. However, considering how tricky this design was, I didn’t do to badly. And because I love sharing everything fun and fab with you guys, I even did a video tutorial to show you how I did it it in case you wanted to attempt it. Marc Jacobs – A Springbok fan?

With our boys in green and gold already in New Zealand defending their world cup title, everyone is a little excited about upcoming rugby world cup. I was, as usual feasting my eyes on some online shopping sites, despite vowing never to shop online again (thanks to a whoping 40% customs charge!). Anyway, whilst on my no spending shopping spree, I came across these wedges by Marc Jacobs’ more affordable line, Marc by Marc Jacobs. Check out the springbokkie on the side! And they even look like our dark green (although they are black) and gold colours! Could Marc Jacobs be a fan of our boys? They are called Wertmuller, have a leather upper and sole and if you want to own a pair you can buy them from endless.com They cost $330.00, which is around R2400.00. Would you buy them?
